   Honestly we ve had terrible food and service the last few times we’ve been in. This was visit was great! The food and service were great!

   I frequently go to SawMill Tap house. I’m a local resident from Nanaimo. My boyfriend and I were going to the theatre last night and decided to make a reservation for dinner before the show. It was supposed to be yo be a fabulous night out! Firstly, I had reserved a Standard table not a Hight top. First thing, we were sat at a high top. Went to order 3 different wines on their menu and they were out. The Manager came to speak to us because our fabulous server was embarrassed at this point why they even have this choice on the menu when you dont have it. As our food was getting served we still did not have any wine at this point. The Manager was the worst supervisor I have ever encountered with. She was not budging or willing to work with us for a price difference on a bottle of wine that we wanted. She was absolutely terrible to deal with. Too bad, I will never go back:( Merry Christmas Everyone!

   Serrvice was not good. One order arrived after the other three peeople had almost finished The wait staff continully made excuses for the kitchen and when the last order finally arrived, it was the wrong order - not what I had oredered! I accepted the order as I did not want to gamble on another long wait. The food was spotty, some good, some not. The pulled pork poutine which one of our party ordered was not pulled pork, but brisket. The gravy was congealed and the curds were cold. We told the waitress but she was quite flippant about the whole thing. We have been their on many past occasions and had good experiences. After last night we will not likely return.

   Fun Friday evening ambience. We had pizza which we usually have there. Today the dough was a tad undercooked but very delicious flavor. Quite loud which made conversation a little difficult! We will definitely again.. most likely for lunch or happy hour.

   Glad we made reservations as it was busy. Server was great. Food excellent as always. We were seated at a booth which we loved
