A true hidden gem, Sculthorpe Mill is a breath taking pub buried in the heart of the glorious Norfolk countryside built atop the River Wensum. Originally a watermill dating back to 1757, it has been lovingly restored by sisters Siobhan and Caitriona Peyton and they have created a haven for foodies and pub lovers alike, as well as one of the best pub gardens in Norfolk. This is a stunning contemporary dining pub, complete with chic bedrooms and a menu of expertly crafted modern British dishes.

Sculthorpe Mill’s seasonal menu changes regularly to make the most of Norfolk’s bountiful produce and all our core ingredients are locally sourced, foraged from land and sea before being passionately turned into award-winning dishes.

Come spring and summer, our garden is the ideal pace to enjoy an evening meal alfresco, or even just a crisp glass of rosé as you listen to the rush of the river or the buzzing of bees in the flower garden.

    First time in Sculthorpe Mill and absolutely loved it! The was marvellous, the ambience was cosy and everyone was very nice. Will definitely come back.

    Cosy snug and lovely ambiance. Beef was amazing would have preferred carrots rather than puree albeit didn’t take away from the fact most flavoursome food for a long time. Tarte Tatin was fabulous still tart with lovely caramelisation. Definitely a go to for Sunday lunch again.

    Lovely setting with a beautiful building. Cosy dining room with good choices on lunch menu Service was attentive, charming and professional and the quality of the food excellent. Beware though the sharing pies are huge!! Recommended

    What a wonderful find. The ambience was lovely the staff and service were excellent and the food was superb. Will definitely go back and highly recommend. Not far from Thursford if you are going to show.

    Amazing food, service and atmosphere. I went with my wife on a date night. We just had the best time. We enjoyed some drinks in the bar first. A very good Guinness and a perfect Espresso Martini for my wife. All of the many dishes we tried were fantastic and the staff were really helpful and friendly.
