The restaurant was packed due to trivia night. There was not enough staff and the wait time was over an hour and fifteen minutes for a sandwich. Honestly we were ready to walk out.
When we asked to speak to a manager (Catherine?) all she did was make excuses at how busy the restaurant was. She did not apologize nor did she offer to comp a meal as a quick bite turned into a 2 hour ordeal. In fact, one of our guests responded to her when she asked ,”what do you want me to do?” And she said how about comping my meal. She responded to the guest with attitude stating- “ I can’t do that” and walked away from the table. ( unlike our waiter who was apologetic and kind)
We understand when at times the restaurant is short staffed as we have been regular patrons of Seasons. However, when the manager is rude about it, the whole narrative changes. It’s not the customers responsibility to “please be patient” when an hour and a half goes by and we don’t have our sandwiches. It’s disappointing at best.
When the bill came- the manager didn’t even comp our ice teas. We didn’t even drink!
Customer service is key.
