   My wife and I visited Selby's to celebrate our anniversary, expecting a delightful dining experience. The restaurant offers a three-course meal for a fixed price of $125 per person, with an additional $25 charge for select items like Beef Wellington, which was mentioned on the menu. The appetizers and main courses, particularly the Beef Wellington, were excellent. However, the desserts were disappointing and lacked the sophistication one would expect from a Michelin-starred establishment. We ordered one cocktail and one mocktail, and upon requesting the bill, we were surprised to find a total of $445 without tips. It appeared extra charges were added for every item. I questioned this since the menu stated a fixed price; the staff was kind enough to remove the extras and acknowledged the need for clearer charge disclosures to customers. Overall, while the food was mostly good, the billing confusion marred our anniversary celebration, leaving us feeling uneasy about the experience.

   Great food and service. However, watch out for the bottled water !!! 12$ a bottle. It is no wonder they kept it flowing paid $84 plus tip .. about 100 dollars for water. Tap water wasn’t offered …. Ask!

   Everything else was good except my wagyu beef which was hard to cut because it’s tough like rubber. Not worth the price. The rest of other foods were good as expected for one star Michelin restaurant.

   So this is Michelin one star restaurant and I have been other one star before. Not bad and their service definitely is bit interesting. When they serve the Veal with sauce for me. The sauce actually splash on my hand but thanks god it doesn’t get on my shirt. But the food is good and looks nice. In general I feel it’s worth the value. But parking is so confusing and I actually circled around twice. In general I probably would not visit this place again.

   I booked a reservation exactly 2 months in advance, right when the exact date I wanted was available on OpenTable. I was added notes that it was for my boyfriend's 40th birthday (milestone bday!), and requested to be seated somewhere intimate, preferably a booth. On the date of the reservation, we were running half an hour late. We called to let them know, and Josh on the phone was super kind and accommodating. Complimentary valet parking REALLY helped when we arrived. One of the reasons I chose Selby's is because the ambience looked lovely from the photos. Lemme tell you, the vibes are way better in person. I really enjoyed art deco details such as the lamps, and we were seated in a cozy booth right by the fireplace on the first floor. The bathrooms are also beautiful with lovely lighting. Highly recommend everything we ate! Appetizers: CHESTNUT VELOUTÉ DIVER SCALLOP VÉRONIQUE Mains: PETITE FILET, 6 OZ HONEY LACQUER DUCK BREAST Dessert: HACHIYA PERSIMMON PUDDING 2x Our waitress Serene is SO SWEET. She was very attentive to us all night, and I enjoyed talking to her, and learned that she's a fellow Taiwanese, so it was really lovely to get to learn about her background, what brought her here to the US, and her kids. I tipped her well, and we felt lucky she was our server. Tipped Alex the valet driver as well. Right when we stepped out, we were pleasantly surprise our car was already right in front waiting for us. We chatted with him for a bit, and learned he's from Hong Kong. He was awesome! This experience at Selby's was worth every penny. Highly recommend coming here for special occasions. Definitely want to come back for other occasions, and even check out the bar!

   We had the pre-fixe menu The diver scallop and tuna tartar were delicious. We ordered the white truffle pasta. The sauce overpowered the white truffle unfortunately. The chicken two preparations with black truffle sauce, duck breast and lobster were excellent.

   I selected Selby’s to propose to my girlfriend. The service and food was amazing which made the evening absolutely perfect. The portions are meaningful and you feel there is a lot of love in these dishes. Plating was nice and it felt upscale but not snobby. Classy dining room decor to match the rest of the experience. Oh.. she said yes
