Serenade American Brasserie reimagines a classic brasserie through a Lone Star lens, creating one of Austin’s most central and relaxed dining destinations. Welcome to a place where the allure of French oak meets the draw of Texas smoke.

Featuring locally-sourced dishes for all day dining, Serenade offers elevated comfort food in a setting that is both approachable and tranquil. The cocktails are bespoke and inventive, the wine list is globally curated, and the beer selection ranges from European specialties to local Austin brews. Serenade is led by Chef Johnny Ray Stinebaugh, with menu development overseen by W Austin’s Executive Chef Manuel Rodriguez.

Located on the ground floor of W Austin, Serenade spans an inviting indoor-outdoor and day-to-evening space. In the dining room and at the large focal point bar, double-height ceilings enhance the soft, golden light, while avian motifs appear throughout.

Disclaimer: Serenade is inside the W Austin, so don't get lost like we did. The Hostess NySha was so lovely and she took great care of us and got us to our Waitress Julia, who was absolutely amazing. They were a great team, both recommending must try items. It's out anniversary so they gave us some champagne 🥂 which was lovely. We got a Chevre Spread which is a must try, like the flavors are all unreal just mesh together. I got the Duck and my wife got the Chicken dish and they were both lovely. The duck is next level, like fall off the bone next level. All together we had a great time, they took photos of us for us and we took the rest of the fun into Downtown Austin.

Food was great. Typical hotel restaurant vibe and the service was needing a lot of training.

The food was just okay. For an upscale restaurant in a luxury hotel, the ambiance left a lot to be desired. There were spots of paint and wallpaper peeling/missing from the walls. Seating surfaces had rips and were fastened with blue painter's tape. Overall, the vibe was not in line with the prices of the food (or the hotel rooms upstairs). Service was annoyingly slow for a Monday morning breakfast with few customers.

Very nice, after being completely renovated and reinvented. Service was very good. The whipped chèvre spread was delicious! Nice and creamy. The lunch menu had a cauliflower olive tapenade sandwich. The cauliflower needed more cooking time, it was almost raw and hard to eat as a sandwich. The tapenade as a spread was very tasty. We will go back cause we definitely want to try the Panisse Frites, which they were out that day. Beautiful space, quiet at lunch time on a Thursday, perfect for two friends to catch up over lunch and champagne

We were greeted by the food and beverage manager and he did a great job of talking about the restaurant and made sure that our experience is five star. The restaurant is beautifully decorated. Food is well priced.

Wanted to check out the new brasserie at the W and glad that I did. The space is designed beautifully with tons of natural light, shying away from the recent trend of dark, loud restaurants that have opened downtown lately. Full of light and elegance, Serenade welcomes with a great all day menu with french classics and some unexpected takes. The crab benedict was spectacular, and the duck confit reminded me of my vacation in Paris, all paired perfectly with the tripel karmeliet Belgian beer. Don’t skip on dessert, the tarte tatin is well worth it. Next time downtown make sure to stop in. Great, relaxed service that’s not stuffy and a patio that rivals any in town

The new restaurant is very disappointing if you were used to visiting the W for brunch before the remodel. Quiet as a church, service was not great, food was wrong, drinks weren’t put in and their version of an english muffin was a toasted hamburger bun, or they messed up that order also. Wont be returning and was sad that we were anticipating the re-open and were so disappointed.
