   We enjoyed our Friendsmas dinner, the ambience was magnificent, had a whole photo shoot in the bathroom because it’s perfect lol.

   We arrived early as the hostess said we can sit at the bar. While having a drink the hostel told us to cash out bc our table was almost ready and showed us where we’d be sitting. Suddenly, another couple gets sat there. When I asked the hostess what’s going on she said they accidentally sat another couple there and could not ask them to move. Then proceeded to sit us upstairs at a far worse table. I said I’d wait for a better table. We waited another 30mins. They finally sat us, it took another 20mins for the server to arrive to take our drink order. To make matters worse, there’s an automatic 20% gratuity so you can’t give gratuity based on good or poor service. This was an anniversary dinner noted in our reservation. We got a mere apology from the manager with no further attempt to rectify the situation. The steaks were good but have had far better in the city. Would not recommend for the price point and the level of service.

   I love the look super sexy. I had a shrimp appetizer that was good and spicy just how I like my food. My daughter had lamb chops and said they were ok need more seasoning. It was a cute experience I love the live music they did a awesome job.

   Food was not all that great! Oysters & the Shrimp diablo was great! As for the main course, the steak, very bland & chewy, which I am not used to when you pay for high priced steaks. It should just melt in your mouth. Our waitress was very pleasant and she knew the menu & suggestions. I have been to a lot of fine dining. It was also so loud, I could barely hear my man when we were talking. The floors were also slippery. Unfortunately, this was a one & done for me & my significant other.

   Me and my wife ordered the tomahawk medium well. It came out medium rare. They sent it back it come out medium. It was a terrible experience we were celebrating our anniversary. It was an awful experience for the money that was spent. I will never return!

   My issue is they added 20% tip on the bill. To my fault I didn't catch it and added 20% more. They should tell you they already added 20% since they are assuming they deserve a tip on service. They got almost a 100 tip on 190 bill. This is slimy in my book

   Classy and fun atmosphere. The table side Caesar salad was fabulous. The Dover sole was good. Truffle fries were average. Ribeye was delicious. Overall good food.

    I wouldn't necessarily say anything about Sexy Steak is sexy. The patrons, the servers, the food, and the ambience didn't exude sexiness or excellence. With so many great steak houses in Detroit, Sexy Steak is going to need to heat it up to have a chance to survive. It's a great old building and I have a lot of respect for the owners taking the risk to do something different in downtown Detroit.
