   This is about the fifth time I have visited Shadowbrook and find the prices have gone way up. I assume it is because the menu has expanded quite a bit. I can't see spending $30 for a glass of wine so although I like the ambiance and the service, I probably won't be visiting as often.

   Carol, Thank you for being a loyal customer. I appreciate your feedback regarding our pricing and the mention of a $30 glass of wine. To clarify, only two glasses in our current release portfolio are priced at $30, both of which are Sparkling wines from single vineyards made using the labor-intensive Methode Champenoise process. Reviewing your specific transaction, it appears your group ordered 3 glasses of wine totaling $63.50 (Avg price $21.20). In addition, your group got an appetizer for $15, then split it 3 ways. So, your share was $26.20 not including tax and tip. Thank you again for your comments and for allowing us the opportunity to address your concerns.    It’s a gorgeous setting. The wine price is ok. The food is terrible and extraordinarily over priced

   After my previous review, the owner called and asked for us to try again. We returned and are very glad to have done so. Our service was much better and our previous server apologized, acknowledging the less than stellar service at the time. I am grateful to have gone back and had an experience consistent with the owner's vision, and it speaks highly of his character that he took the time out to invite us back for a re-do.

   Our service was extremely slow and it was evident the person assigned to our table was not interested in helping us. It was an unfortunate experience, but the lamb chops were good.

    We booked the winery for Easter brunch. We had heard that they serve a beautiful brunch, so we decided to go there specifically for the brunch. No one let us know that brunch was canceled because they did not have enough reservations. We had to order off the menu, which had limited options, and they did not have coffee or any other beverages to offer. I don’t know if it was Open Table’s responsibility, or Shadowbrook’s, but it would’ve been nice to know that brunch had been canceled in advance so we could’ve chose another option.

    I apologize for any confusion incurred. You acknowledge it might be an OpenTable issue or Shadowbrook’s fault as you failed to book our Easter brunch, it also could have been a “users’ error” a click on the wrong option as it were. Due to your error there was no way we could have read your mind and prepared brunch for your party. Understanding your frustration, disappointment and embarrassment as the party organizer is clear, but rating our business a 1 as a result is unscrupulous. Your party ordered several nonalcoholic drinks, stayed and opened presents for approx. 5 hours, a good time for all. Trying to impair our reputation for a reservation mistake is in my opinion unprincipled at best. As a side note you had 7 people for roughly 5 hours and ordered 1 glass of wine, at a winery?
