Named after Shep, the beloved Turnpike Dog who became a local legend on the Denver-Boulder Turnpike, our restaurant honors this faithful companion who greeted travelers and tollbooth workers for 14 years starting in 1950. Shep’s unwavering loyalty and friendly demeanor made him a cherished part of the turnpike, and his legacy continues to inspire us.

At Shep’s, we offer a relaxed mountain-chic atmosphere where you can savor the distinctive flavors of Colorado. Choose from our cozy indoor seating or the scenic outdoor patio, and enjoy some fun in our dedicated gaming area.
