Shotgun is an American cocktail lounge specialising in brown liquor and BBQ. Barbecue is a tradition deeply embedded into the very fabric of American culture. Chef Brad will be cooking a traditional ‘low and slow’ barbecue drawing on classic barbecue flavours, and treating diners to authentic and seasonal specialties using the very best quality British meat and fresh produce, all smoked on Shotgun’s wood-burning smoker burning English and European hardwoods. Our bar is also available for Walk In diners.

Enjoyed Shotgun for post theatre supper. Food very good and interesting. Helpful, friendly service. Room too dark and chilly near the door.

Shotgun is by far the best bbq in London! The beef rib and baby back ribs were cooked to perfection. The ambiance of the restaurant is really lovely too. This is perfect for a date night or catching up with friends.

We had an expensive and tasty-but-not-exceptional dinner here. Having eaten at many genuine BBQ joints in the southern US states, I had wishfully believed Shotgun's hype and hoped for something remarkable. Although the ambience felt suitable enough, it just did not deliver on its promises unfortunately. We were also let down by patchy service.

Read rave reviews and thought we'd give it a go. Glad we tried but not our cup of tea. Lovely staff but the menu was tiny and no draught beers as the taps were broken. Nice cosy venue .

I love BBQ and I work in the area, so I decided to give Shotgun a go and booked a table for two. The day after they called me asking to confirm my reservation. When we got to the restaurant, a few minutes earlier than expected (7pm instead of 7.15pm) there were plenty of free tables; however, they wanted us to seat at the bar pointing out that we were among the latest to book. I explained to them that no one mentioned sitting at the bar, ever. So they told me that they wanted us to seat at the bar because - apparently - I asked for a 90+ min slot. That did never happen, though! Anyways, I had to insist to finally have a suggestion for a small table. We ordered a brisket, a goat shoulder and a baked potato puree (£34 with two 20cl Cokes). Despite the tiny portions, the meat was decent. However, the baked potato puree was super sticky and definitely not so good. We left before 8pm, not sure if we'll ever be back. If you're a BBQ lover, Smokehouse in Chiswick or Red's True Barbecue in Shoreditch are the places you want to go to.

Nice menu. Liked their own sauces which were a nice touch and added good flavour. My friends wanted some chips which weren't available. Ribs and Brisket were best mains. Pork belly needed some crackling. Chicken wings for starter were good as ever. Nice slaw and cucumber salad but more green sides would be good as rich menu.

Mediocre food, although the honey butter corn bread is out of this world - probably worth a visit in itself. The ribs and brisket were ok only - certainly not the best in London, let alone worthy of comparison to anything you can get in the US. The place is nice enough, but super noisy and you'll hear every conversation snippet from the next table, and the table next to that!
