   This was our first time at Showroom. We had looked at the menu beforehand and it read like casual dining with a hint of sophistication. The food was amazing. We ordered steak frites (which I opted for mashed potatoes in place of the fries), mushroom risotto with shrimp, and a beet salad. To drink, we ordered an old fashioned and a skinny margarita. Everything was impeccable. The only reason why we didn’t order dessert was because there was no room! We were stuffed. Not only was the food great, but the service was excellent. The hosts and servers alike were all super friendly and made us feel right at home. The restaurant itself was very chic. Similar to the menu, it read sophisticated diner. It’s perfect for a family meal or date night. I would recommend 10/10.

   Have eaten here a number of times in the past and it was always good. This time, food seems to be a notch below prior visits in terms of flavor. Ordered deviled eggs, seems like they use pickle brine instead of pickles, which is fine except it was too salty and the salt overwhelmed the other flavors. Same for the FCBLT (fried chicken BLT); several times had a bite of it that was too salty. The fish and chips outer edges were a bit hard, and had dark brown appearance suggesting they were fried too long. The accompanying fries were meh. Perhaps they had an off night, or the particular chef on duty has an inclination to salty flavors. Will try again a different time, hopefully with better results.

   This was our first visit to The Showroom. Our server, Will, was super friendly and attentive. I especially loved the espresso martini and the deviled eggs. Looking forward to coming back!

   The Nashville Chicken Sandwich and pancakes are 10/10. Fries are consistently overcooked and sometimes the food is left on the counter waiting to be run, so it can get a little cold. However, there is a lot of care and thought put into the food preparation, one of my family’s favorites.

   We tried two of the sandwiches. The Marlyand Pit Beef and the Nashville Hot Chicken, both were well made, full of flavor and a good sized portions.

   After looking at the menu, we were expecting upscale diner. At first, the hostess led us onto the dreary plastic-enclosed patio. The atmosphere was atrocious so we asked to be seated inside. There we encountered a very IHOP like feel, which was an improvement from outdoors. The food was good; shrimp and grits and mushroom risotto were hits. The corn dip was just fine, nothing special. The beet salad with greens and whole beets on the side wasn't imaginative at all. Cocktails were delicious and the highlight. We had a great time with friends, but the aesthetic was underwhelming. Glad we went to check that box but likely won't return.

   Food was excellent. Service was outstanding. Our server, Linda, was friendly, informative and attentive. Good coffee, too. Bad coffee can often make a difference. Chicken and waffles with pickled jalapeños was terrific. Pancakes with blueberry compote is a must try.
