My husband and I joined two friends here for dinner without knowing much about the restaurant. It was a cold night and we wanted something to warm us up. Shy Bird turned out to be a great choice. We shared 4 appetizers, two mains, a salad, a side of French fries, and two desserts. The stand out dishes were the roasted squash appetizer, the corn dip appetizer, the piri piri roast chicken, the thin and crispy French fries, the mahi mahi, and our desserts (warm chocolate chip cookie, toffee cake/ice cream). Our other dishes were fine, but weren’t as special (shrimp Louie lettuce cups, trumpet mushrooms, beet and arugula salad). My mulled cider was warming and tasty, if a little sweet. Others seemed to enjoy their drinks - beers, margarita. The atmosphere was pleasant, and the service was prompt and responsive. I’d definitely return - even with the challenging parking and 30 minute drive from home!

The server was very nice and really very accommodating. Allowed all “4” of us to pay separate itemized bills. The host however was rude, aggressive and unpleasant. His insincere tone and fake smile were obvious not to mention his blatant frustration when we arrived with an extra guest was disappointing and made the extra addition to our party feel like a problem. The thinly veiled goodbye from the host was the obnoxious cherry on the top.

Had a great lunch at Shy Bird. Smash Burger, Tuna Melt and Chicken Shawarma wrap were all yummy. Great place to get a lunch within an hour. Didn't feel rushed, but needing to be in and out in between work day, this was great.

This was my first visit to Shy Bird. I was pleasantly surprised. There were two of us and we ordered a whole roast chicken, a side of fries, and a salad. The food was delicious and plenty enough for us. The service was excellent. Our server was helpful at all times, including lowering the music volume.
