We had a window table that we had requested as we were celebrating my partner's birthday. The views from the restaurant across the Thames are fantastic. We were greeted warmly and shown to our table. The menu had a good selection of food and an extensive wine list. All the staff were lovely and made us feel very welcome. They brought a little birthday cake to the table at the end of the meal. The only drawback of a really lovely evening was that the airconditioning made it a little bit chilly. All in all, we had a very memorable time.

Had a lovely table by the window. It was a short meet up with a friend so only had one course but both were very tasty and nicely presented. Side of mixed green veg was a tad overdone for my liking. However, we found the price of the wine prohibitive. One glass practically the price of a bottle elsewhere.

WOW- what a perfect combination of Fine Dining, Location (view) and Ambiance in London!!! So grateful we found this place! The Shepards pie was lovely - the lamb such a nice change!! The Curry dish with lamb was divine- the lamb was so tender and the combination was perfect! Lastly, the view of the river, bridges, etc. was wonderful!! We WILL be coming back here!

Really disappointing experience, from very bland (but expensive) food to lax service. This restaurant should be really good, the views are epic. But it’s dead and I can see why. Under delivers in every sense except the views. The vegetarian roast is a portobello mushroom with no gravy- at £26 that’s incredibly lazy and not good enough.

Love this Venue, spacious with amazing views. I asked for a window seat and this was honoured, we were served by Francisco and he was very attentive. The food was nice, felt the prawn cocktail could have been a little larger but was delicious… as was the fries and the Rice Pudding

D&D is a big chain that owns some great restaurant sites in London but serves some of the worst food. Every couple of years we give one of their restaurants another go, and regret it. Skylon has a brilliant location on a sunny Saturday afternoon but disappoints in pretty much every other aspect. The prawn salad for £15 had two prawns on a bed of lettuce with the rest of the shrimp so finely chopped (and sparse) they disappeared into the mayo. But that was at least better than the mushroom risotto, a salty bowl of rice with approximately three chopped mushrooms floating in it and no flavour. In the interests of balance the steak tartare stater was excellent, so 1 out of 4 dishes was good. Service was very erratic. We were ignored for about 10 minutes after being seated, while two separate waiters served tables either side of us. Redress was good with a complimentary glass of Prosecco offered, and the first two courses were served attentively. But when we ordered dessert the waitress then disappeared n and we waited for over 20 mins before deciding we really didn’t want it given the now low expectations of quality. More fool us for forgetting that D&D restaurants are just a glorified chain.

Lovely restaurant with an excellent view. The food was excellent and the service was as you’d expect; attentive, polite and we were made to feel very welcome. Most of all we did not feel rushed, so were able to enjoy our meal. Mary, Anson and Antonio deserve a mention as all helped us with food and wine choices. Cannot recommend the restaurant highly enough.
