Small Barn is an exciting part of the Temecula restaurant landscape offering a casual but elevated dining experience in the form of a modern bistro. The menu is inspired by classic preparations found on bistro menus around the globe while showcasing the bounty of ingredients produced in the region. The restaurant atmosphere is crafted to be a welcoming gathering place that is beautifully designed and relaxed, but with a vibrant energy that encourages socializing and discovery.

On the site of the historic Knott Family Homestead, Small Barn has brought new life to a landmark building from the early 1900s. Great care has gone into preserving the structure and with it the legacy of a prominent Temecula family that was among the area’s first settlers. Small Barn has maintained the original residential scale and offers extensive outdoor seating including the large wrap-around porch, covered patio and fireside lounge seating.

Atmosphere was great service was great. Food was delicious. Something different not the ordinary just steaks hamburgers pretty good. Delicious food. Recommend the area.

Another stellar meal in Temecula! Two appetizers we shared, baked feta with honey and pan-fried foraged mushrooms, were unique and supremely tasteful.

Hostess was not friendly or welcoming. In her defense, she was slammed but she wasn’t handling it well. The restaurant was understaffed so everything took longer than it should. Server was incredibly nice and was doing her best. The restaurant was only a quarter full but food took a long while and then came out cold. Burger was rare (not medium rare) but I ate it anyway. It was a good burger just a little under cooked. Overall, I think it was a bad day for the restaurant and had potential to be better.
