Created by Tom Colicchio and located in Garden City, Long Island. Small Batch offers rustic - yet approachable - casual American dining and warm, inviting hospitality.
Enjoy our all-day menu (served 7 days/week starting at 12pm), for weekend brunch (Sat & Sun 1130am-3pm), or Happy Hour Mon-Fri (from 5pm-7pm). Our new Early Batch dinner menu offers three courses for $42/person and is available during our earliest dinner reservations (4:00pm - 5:30pm) every Mon-Fri.

    Tom Colicchio is back at Small Batch on Tues, May 20 to cook a four-course menu sourced from the spring season. Ticket price includes: welcome cocktails, four-course menu, view of our open kitchen & photo opportunities with Chef Tom. Wine pairings will be available at each course +$45 per guest, and signed books will also be available for purchase at the event. Payment will be collected the night of; tax & gratuity are additional. Preview the menu on our website; please expect to be seated with other guests who share your love of food & wine. Doors opens at 5:30pm, dinner will be served promptly at 6pm.

    Went this evening with my husband. The food: tasty, well seasoned. We started with the arugula salad and arancini. The salad was delicious and a huge portion. It was very fresh and dressed well with a lemon vinaigrette. The arancini crisp on the outside, tender and flavorful on the inside. Next we had the veal meatballs and the skirt steak. The meatballs were tender and moist. The steak was flavorful but a little tough. I ordered it medium but it came a little over. Desert was a cookie with ice cream and the tiramisu. They were both fairly standard. Not at all bad but not memorable. The service: the waiter was no where to be seen for most of the meal. While I appreciate not being doted on, after he took our order, he disappeared and we didn't see him again until we were half way through the entree. He never checked to see if we needed anything up to that point. Then he disappeared again until after dessert. That's when he brought the check. He never asked if we wanted anything else, coffee, cordial... Since he didn't bring out any of the food, he had no idea what we wanted. I could understand if it was super busy but the restaurant wasn't even half full. The atmosphere: upscale Applebee's. Loud, with children running around. Final thought: Tom Colicchio is very smart and talented. He has educated consumers on what to expect in dining. I think he should spend a little more time in this place to educate the front of the house a little better.

    The menu choices are outstanding,as is the wine selection. The atmosphere is top notch. My favorite entree is the ricotta meatballs. So delicious.

    Since we live in NYC now, we rarely get to go to Small Batch. Since we had some appointments on Long Island, we were happy to be surprised with some new offerings on the menu. As always, the people that work there were friendly and helpful. Since I have several food sensitivities, everything was carefully curated and served to me. Thanks again!

    Food is really good but expensive. Pasta was a little too Al dente but everything else was perfect. We come here every year for our daughter’s birthday. They personalize her menu as a take home. She has all the menus over the years. Always have a god time here.
