    The wait staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. We were very impressed. Very friendly and lively place. Unique wine bar. The food was okay overall, but the karaage chicken was terrible. Dessert (chocolate hazlenut tart) was excellent. The rest of the food was okay, but not great. More of a spot for after work drinks and snacks and wine pairings or cocktails. Nice experience overall.

    Vraiment un bel endroit et une table très sympathique: les accords mets-vins étaient parfaits et le service très courtois. On voit que les serveurs s'y connaissent et peuvent nous guider. La nourriture proposée était très bonne. Deux bémols: la musique étant très forte, les gens ont tendance à parler encore plus fort et nous avions donc parfois du mal à nous entendre, ce qui est dommage car ce type d'expérience est parfaite pour jaser et prendre le temps. Autrement, les mets/plats pourraient être un peu mieux détaillés sur la carte ainsi, on s'assurerait de commander quelque chose dont nous connaissons sensiblement l'ensemble des ingrédients.

    We chose to celebrate our anniversary here and enjoyed our evening very much. At the end of the meal they treated us to a dessert wine which was a nice touch. We enjoyed the wine pairing suggestions and really loved the elk dish. Service was attentive in terms of refilling water and clearing plates although we felt we went a bit too long between the first round of sharing plates and the second round with empty wine glasses. However, we enjoyed the less rushed pace of dinner and were able to savour the evening. Overall, we really enjoyed our experience and would definitely return!

    Great food, wine and service! Only negative was the noise level on a busy night. Will definitely be back again for those brussel sprouts!

    One of our favourite restaurants! Food is always good and creative. Wine is wonderful and we can try things we’d never get to try otherwise. Service is friendly and knowledgeable. Finally, it offers great value… we visit several times per year!

    Our first visit to Soif was excellent. We basically ordered everything on the menu and it was all delicious and beautifully presented. The service was friendly and attentive. Love the cork walls and wine glasses hanging above each table! We’ll be back.

    Vins très bien choisis, bouffe extra, Véronique à l'accueil et aux conseils. Que demander de plus ? Un bistrot cher à mon coeur et à mes papilles. Une des meilleures tables de l'Outaouais!
