   I have been to the midtown location dozens of times, and always love my visit. This Avalon location, however was a significant drop off. We stood at the host stand waiting for anyone to greet us and acknowledge our reservation for around five minutes, despite 2 different employees each coming to the desk twice each while actively avoiding eye contact with us to avoid having to greet us. That's a horrible start. Food was fine, with the exception of the eggs on the brisket Benedict being closer to cold than room temperature. They had to have sat in the window for some time, and it wasn't particularly pleasant to eat. I would have said something to the waiter, however once our food was dropped, I didn't see him again until it was time to clear the plates. The tres leches cake we shared for dessert was also pretty bad. I'm not exaggerating when I say the tres leches from Costco is exponentially better. Granted, I have a high standard after growing up in Miami, but still, between 4 of us, we left cake behind so.... I just think there's lousy management at this location that could use a turnover. Definitely not as polished as the service in midtown despite being open for years now. For the price, I likely will not return

   My alcohol was substituted with another liquor because they ran out of the alcohol I requested and I was not notified of the change. Deceitful!

   I spent Thanksgiving dinner at the restaurant. It was decorated with beautiful Christmas decor. The waiters were attentive and dinner was served in a reasonable amount of time. The food was delicious. Second time in on a Holiday. Definitely recommend

   The food was delicious. The first waitress we had, wasn’t nice. She was short and in a hurry. She cut me off when I spoke and had an attitude with me. I asked the manager for a different waitress. The 2nd waitress was great. She was nice, gave me a chance to actually finish my questions (unlike the first waitress who’d cut me off), she answered my questions tthoroughly. She was knowledgeable . (It was Thanksgiving Day… I didn’t want it to be ruined alont with the family dinner. I’m glad I asked for a different waitress.) The whole experience took a 360 change instead of feeling like you can’t ask a question with out being overtalked or cut off before you could get the 2nd word out in your sentence. The ambiance and decor was very nice. The hostesses who sat us down were nice. The food was great. The turkey was tender, well seasoned and juicy.
