   It's clear that Nick's trains their staff very carefully before they host customers. They are all very friendly and efficient. Ther manager circulates making sure everyone is happy while dining.

   Great meal for night and really great service from Paul! One of the best chicken tortilla soups we’ve had and my friend and I split a combo plate with a really great enchiladas and crispy taco. The guys had the el jefe burrito which was insane! Make sure to get the watermelon jalapeño margarita it’s the best! Love the ambience here!

   We had a very good waitress. She got the food to us while it was still hot. She remembered to bring a dessert for my friend’s birthday, which I appreciated. I enjoyed the ceviche & the seafood enchiladas. Thank you. This is my 4th visit. I will be back.

   The server was excellent. I had a tortilla soup. It is the best in San Diego..we had a family visiting from out of town and it was so good to have it there.

   The chef made me a custom guacamole with just avocado and cilantro to accommodate my dietary requirement and it was fresh and delicious!

   Our second time to South of Nick’s. The drinks were exceptional, especially the cucumber margarita. Our server was engaged but not overly intrusive. The birria tacos were spot on, however the birria enchilada stack lacked flavor. Overall our party was happy.

   We had a great experience at South of Nicks in Laguna Beach, and thought to give the Del Mar location a try. We were not disappointed - same great food and beverages, same great service culture. We will return.

    Nice upscale mexican! Prices comparable for area, food is better, both choices and taste. 3 dips for chips is hreat. Drinks are tasty. Hannah D server was awesome! Give it a try, you will enjoy.
