   South sailor is a local favourite for special occasions. The restaurant was quiet with plenty of staff on board, so expected service to be good. Unfortunately on this occasion, the service was somewhat to be desired. Food and ambience was consistently good.

   We have already provided a review on Google, but here it is again for your review. The food was good. What very unfortunately resulted in our ratings was the staff member that greeted us with the following “you should have come inside and let us know you were here” We were outside, there was no sign to come inside, she was simply very rude. It didn’t get any better from there with this staff member. Very little interaction, no smiles. Went to pay the bill, it was to be split. The same staff member said we would have to work out the costs between us, as she would not do that. To be honest never experienced that response. Was very unimpressed, and very uncomfortable whilst the same staff member offered no assistance, or dare I say a smile. Won’t go back, and would suggest the owners offer some customer service training.

   Once again South Sailor never fails. The food was outstanding. It was our anniversary and the sevice was great. We had the Seafood Share and it was delicious. Its our 6 th time there and I cannot recommend it enough.

   Amazing food and friendly service. Really unusual and delicious menu. Far more than just fish and chips at very reasonable prices.

   We have been to South Sailor several times and it has always been good. Today was no exception. Had the Seafood Sampler as always and today didn’t disappoint as usual.

   Every time we visit South Sailor we never ever disappointed! It’s one of the most consistent restaurants in every regard: food, service, quality etc. We usually take someone visiting us from overseas or interstate and they also, are so impressed by the offerings. We are very fortunate to have South Sailor within easy reach on the south coast and will endeavour to get back there again very soon. Thank you!

   We shared the seafood platter for two and a bowl of chips and the food selection was outstanding. Each tasty morsel was absolutely delicious with the cold dishes arriving first. A good variety and a far cry from the regular seafood platter with a mix of cold and deep fried. The staff were courteous and friendly. The basque cheesecake topped the whole meal off. A limited but good selection of moderately priced wines. We will be returning.

   We had an amazing bottomless brunch for my birthday. We were a group of 20 and the food was so amazing. There were so many different delicious seafood dishes. The staff and Owner Graham were very accommodating. Lovely wine and cocktail options. We had lovely time. Highly recommend!

    The seafood curry was very disappointing—completely lacking salt, overly watery, and extremely spicy, even for us as Chinese. The special chicken poke bowl was excessively salty, with too much gravy, which also overpowered the chicken. Additionally, the chicken was shredded like pulled pork, making the presentation unappealing. These two dishes definitely need improvement. On a positive note, the service was good, and the noise level was pleasantly low.
