Rick was an awesome server. The food, the atmosphere even the lighting was just enough. Food with this prices and the quality were just excellent. Went there with some friends the first time and will keep coming back.

Delicious authentic Spanish cuisine- some items we were looking forward to were removed from menu. Our waitress was efficient and friendly. Overall, we had a wonderful dinner experience.

I really hate to write this as I have loved my experience at Leña's, and I am a fan of Chef Andres, and I support his mission with World Kitchen, but this was not a great evening. We arrived just about 7 minutes after our 9pm reservation. They did seat us immediately and then it was 14 minutes before any server greeted us or offered water. I know because I was waiting to use the bathroom until we had ordered our drinks. When we finally ordered, they were out of the pimientos Padron. My husband asked for the burger and requested no cheese, but when the burger arrived it had cheese. I ordered the canelones which was served in a bowl that did not match its liner and every time you tried to eat, it would slide around. It seemed very cheap surprisingly. Of course, I had to eat my canelones dinner alone while my husband waited for his burger to arrive. The whole point was to eat out together, something we seldom do any more since the pandemic and also due to the economics of late that make that expense challenging. I work in food service and special events for 27 years, and this was very disappointing. Perhaps the "diner" atmosphere is not really for us. I doubt that we will return to The Spanish Diner. But I expect we will return to Leña's. As I said, I hate to leave this poor review but the management should know and this may be the best forum to be heard.

Food and service are great, but why are there so many large screens showing college football at a Spanish diner? Really kills the vibe, especially the gross fast food commercials and when we watched an ambulance drive a badly injured player off the field. Also, Chef Andres, my friend, I respect you so much, but the Thanksgiving Paella ordered by the table next to us was an abomination.

Combo #6 (half chicken , fries and salad) is simply superb! It was so good I went back the next day and got the same dish ! Great service and atmosphere!
