We had amazing time. The area had no power after the storm, but the restaurant was on backup generators fully up and operational. Exceptional food and service (as usually).

We visited Sparrow after reading all of the amazing reviews here on OpenTable. Every aspect from the ambiance to the service to the food were all very good and we were overall satisfied. Giving Sparrow 4 stars because it met the expectations of a nice dinner out. However, 5 stars to me is going the extra little bit to make an experience memorable and special.

Our waiter, Ryan, elevated our experience with his professionalism enhanced by just the right amount of fun and genuine charm. Ryan, and all of us, work really hard… sincere thanks to Ryan and all Sparrow folks for a nice end to our day.

Wonderful dinner! All of the food was delicious and didn’t disappoint. Service was attentive and kept us fed with drinks replenished properly. Would have liked to see management presence with the money we spent (table touches go a long way).

Our dining experience was wonderful. The Restaurant Week menu offered a diverse selection of creative culinary options. Our table had bone marrow with chimichurri, avocado-burrata salad, and Caesar salad to start. It was a welcome start. We continued with the swordfish but hands-down, the short ribs with demi; tender and flavorful, was the favorite. Dessert did not disappoint. Our memorable evening will bring us back. We shall return!

Some food items were a bit underwhelming on taste while others were fantastic. Oysters were very good, short rib was amazing. Would definitely come back for the short rib. Burrata app was bland and disappointing. Could have used some balsamic or some kind of flavor. The tuna poke also was disappointing. It was difficult to eat with the taro chips and avocado wedges. Not enough soy or unami flavor imho. We were hungry so we ate them, but wouldn’t order them again. Beware: restaurant week had a special for red wine- “3 glasses for the price of 2”. So we were told several times by our waiter. We ordered that even though they weren’t particularly wines we would normally order, but it seemed like a good deal. Then the glasses came out with the tiniest pours. Our waiter told us regular pours are 5 oz and the special was 4 oz, even though the 2 side by side glasses showed one considerably less than the other. My guess was it looked like 2 and 3 ounces. We sent them back and got cocktails instead. Still, at 4 oz each, compared to 5 oz, not a great deal. The Merlot was only $10 for regular glass anyway.

The food was wonderful. We had the bone marrow, burrata, swordfish, and short ribs. The crème brûlée and flourless chocolate cake were tasty desserts.

Our first time at Sparrow was last night after a recommendation from friends. It was restaurant week so very packed when we arrived. We were warmly greeted by our server, Cassie. She, and her co-server, Ryan, explained the menu, how it worked and brought us really nice wine stemware.. Big points ! The restaurant week menu had several options for each of three courses. We all shared the Seafood Chowder, loaded with tons of seafood; the Avocado Burrata Salad which was huge and delicious; and I had a wonderful Caesar Salad. For main courses, we also shared the Guajillo Chicken, mild spice but juicy and tender; the prime Steak, perfectly medium rare; and I had the Beef Short Rib which was fall off the bone intense. So good !!! Again for dessert, we shared the Creme Brulé and the Flourless Chocolate Cake. Outstanding !!! I can't believe that they only charged us $ 65.00 for such a great dinner. And kudos again to the excellent service ! You don't find that too often anymore. Hope to get back there again, very soon !

Loved the privacy of a booth to catch up with a friend. We were lucky to have brunch offered & I ordered the chilaquiles. I wasn’t sure about adding lamb birria but the server raved about it - it was incredible! The crab avo toast needed something for texture. Will return.
