Spring brings warmth and elegance within a beautiful dining space set in the New Wing of the iconic Somerset House, in the arts and cultural heart of London. Led by acclaimed chef Skye Gyngell, food at Spring is celebrated for it"s conviviality and the joyfulness of sharing seasonal produce. Our cooking is heartfelt, wholesome, produce driven, and cooked by a team of people who are passionate about what they do and who feel truly privileged to work with beautiful ingredients. We hope to create an experience which not only sings on the plate but lingers in the memory.

Family of four for an evening meal- it’s a lovely restaurant , super staff and the food was delightful. Lovely flavours, tasty combinations of ingredients- we all loved our food and would have the same again. We had cauliflower and gorgonazola soup truly delicious, duck main, steak main, monkfish and sea trout- we all loved it. No room for desserts but will starve all day next time so have space to enjoy more.

We had a fabulous evening meal from the Scratch menu - we loved that the restaurant was committed to making use of their left over produce and at £25 for 3 courses it's amazing value. Wine was lovely but quite punchy at around £14 upwards for a small glass. Decor was beautiful and the staff we really accommodating, will definitely go back.

Somerset House is such a beautiful building & even better having the lovely restaurant Spring. A calm oasis to enjoy a fine early dinner. The 3 course Scratch menu is excellent value for tasty seasonal food that is beautifully presented. The service was attentive without being intrusive & the staff were knowledgeable & happy.

This was a really wonderful meal. Imaginative use of fresh ingredients. We had the scratch menu and loved the combination of flavours. Excellent service and a lovely spacious and light venue. Highly recommended.

Very friendly, personable and attentive staff. Sadly, food was massively underwhelming especially in relation to the steep price: zero wow factor combined with the fact that main course arrived tepid. I had to conetnt with a virtually cold serving of monkfish accompanied by unpleasantly dry, hard and altogther unpalatable savoy cabbage, the disappointment having been made worse by the fact that savoy happens to be one of my favourite vegetables. Spring is a lovely space but it must do much better quality of food-wise. If an average two-course dinner costs ca £100 per person you cannot afford to be complacent.

We went at 5.30 before going to a concert and had the three course scratch menu for £25 per head. This was excellent and the portions just right for an early dinner. Glasses of wine were reasonably priced and the service was very good and friendly. The restaurant is beautifully laid out. All in all it was faultless. Would strongly recommend as somewhere to eat pre theatre.

Have visited many times. Of course, the food is top notch. Good flavours, combinations and appearance. But it is 1 - THE QUIET and 2 - The TABLES are NOT on top of one another. Both these are RARE in a London restaurant. The put a lot of thought into the acoustics. Why more restaurants don't is beyond me. Surely you go out to talk/listen to your companions? Finally, the service is both efficient and friendly. What not to like?
