   We've eaten at both other St John branches. The food was the same very good standard however the service was a let down. Waiters seemed rushed and stressed, and didn't take time to explain the menu. They also said it was more of a 'sharing concept' which is different to the set up at the other restaurants and it wasn't explained very well, so we weren't sure what to order or how much. So it was a mixed experience but the food was very good.

   Very friendly staff.. very cramped seating of upstairs by the bar. My pork was very fatty.. in a not good/edible way… but deep fried rarebit was delicious!

   Pretty awful mains to be honest. Very unenjoyable. I don’t know what happened to the menu but it’s no where near as good as the experiences I’ve had at Bread & Wine. Was tempted to ask for a refund on both mains

   I suspect the ethos here is relaxed/ informal whilst being efficient and professional however the tilt is too much towards the former

    I eat here every Xmas with another dad, it’s our little escape from wives and kids! Food is always excellent, the Vespa cocktail is a must, we ate all of the starters followed by an amazing mince pie. Will be back again.
