   State Bird has been on my list for a while. I’m glad I went as I had heard it was a must-visit while in SF. However, while it is cheaper than many Michelin restaurants, it still costs quite a lot for what you get. The food was neither good nor bad but for the price, I will not be returning.

   Very nice menu this season, it’s well rounded with veggie and protein options - I would like to see the dim sum menu in advance to better plan the meal but I guess that’s the fun of it The duck dumplings were fantastic - I think it should be a classic item!

   Food and ambience is exquisite! Staff attentive and friendly. We keep coming back as it never disappoints. Oysters with sauerkraut and chili oil are amazing, and pork belly is our favorite.

   I’ve been here in the past and it’s been delicious. But the past few times I visited I could barely hear the person across from me. It’s so loud there. Also, they don’t have a lot of vegan options or options for people with food allergies which makes it frustrating because you see all this good food, but you can’t have any of it. The food that I did have was mediocre. It’s been better in the past. But maybe that’s because I couldn’t have any of the good stuff.  I love the concept of little plates to try, but because of food restrictions, I couldn’t try any of the little items, so I had to get one big dish which I didn’t really want that much.  It is unlikely I will be going back.

   The food and wine was tasty but we do wish the service was slowed down a little so we could’ve enjoyed it more.

   A unique experience. If you are not a huge eater, I would stick to the “dim sum” plates. A great place to go if you want a variety of food and like to share plates. Fun atmosphere
