Our visit to Steak of the Art was a birthday treat for my son and two siblings on a Sunday lunchtime. The service was friendly and staff were attentive. The quirky, modern surroundings of art- filled walls ( and an additional gallery) an added bonus whilst choosing from the menu. My meat-loving children were excited by the wide choice of steaks. As a vegetarian I found it hard to find something to excite me (although there was a mushroom risotto on the specials list) and ended up having two starters. I realise that the vast majority of people who go to a steak restaurant are probably not veggies but maybe a couple more options would be an idea. Overall we enjoyed our experience and would certainly return.

Excellent customer service -food came quickly and our waitress was very attentive and friendly. The fillet steak we both had was absolutely gorgeous and cooked to perfection. Only thing I would improve is to have veg come with the mains instead of paying extra. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

We had a very enjoyable meal on Saturday night, The place was busing with diners ,attentive staff and a happy, relaxed atmosphere. Our shared veg board was delicious and enough for two as a light starter followed by a most mouthwatering fillet . I couldn't manage it all and so the doggy bag to take it home was a nice touch. We were very impressed with the service , especially of our waitress, Pippa, who in a very friendly , efficient manner served and satisfied our requirement for a very lovely stakeout at the Steak of the Art.

Went on a Saturday night. Had good service all staff cheerful and made you feel very welcome. Food was excellent value and good quality. We were entertained by a magician who did amazing card tricks, he asked us if we would like to take part and left as soon as our food arrived. We were served quickly no delays a bonus on a busy Sat night. Will go back.

The cut of meat of my fillet steak was good but I am yet to find a restaurant in the UK that serves what I call a rare steak. Was more medium.

I went to steak of the art and it was very well cooked food, the waitresses we had was lovely but when we got our food the portion size was ridiculous I was given 7 chips and my place was empty, and also soggy from a lot of excess moisture from the steak so the chips were almost mush.

We visited Steak of the Art to celebrate my wife's birthday, lovely seating whilst waiting gifts our table with very polite and friendly staff who were willing to serve us. My wife loves a steak and was nicely surprised on how succulent her fillet was, unfortunately I can't have steak so was looking forward to other choices ie fish or other meats. The choice here was limited , I went for the pork which was ok but would not have it again. Overall it was a nice place for a treat of take friends but if your not having steak there are better places for choice.

I have eaten here before, I had steak and it was awesome. but unfortunately I went the for a Sunday roast, I had pork belly.. it was disgusting, the top layer was hardly cooked, it was like jelly, you could still see the thick black hairs in it... and the veg was bellow average, tasted like it was frozen, and you get a pathetic amount of gravy. Also I had the Eton mess for desert and it was just a slab of hard strawberry ice cream with a few chunks of strawberrys.. it was bland and boring! if your lookin for a decent roast then STAY AWAY from this place.. go to the volunteers tavern. they kno how to cook top quality roasts and make proper Eton mess and are great value

Me and my partner were very well looked after! Our experience summed up: - knowledgeable bar maid giving us some info on the cake stout - mini art gallery, fantastic decor around - comfy soft booth seat, big table - champagne ready at the table (requested of course) - well mannered, kind, friendly staff (one took my jacket to hang up) - waitress was smiley - seafood starter board, incredible! lots of variety and flavour. - fillet steak, delicious, garlic mushrooms, broccoli, sweet potato fries, feather blade steak mm!
