    We have been going to Steak Pit for over 35 years, through the coming and going of wood menus, wood salad bowls and metal containers for the dressings (preferred) and the artichokes (fabulous). So glad to see them back, and thesalad is still the same quailty in the white ceramic bowls. All our measl were cooked to perfection, tender filets all around. The mud pie was better than I remembered. After some difficult years in the past, it is so nice to see the Steak Pit back up to the high quality I had remebered.

    I ordered the Wagyu New York steak, cooked medium, and ordered a regular New York steak, cooked medium rare. The wagyu was cooked medium rare, and the regular New York was cooked medium. We just switched steaks. My complaint really was that the baked potatoes were barely warm and the glazed carrots which never arrived until we reminded the waitress that we irdered carrots and then they were served room temperature. The steaks were excellent tasting, but it was disappointing that the other items were barely warm.

    We ordered a ribeye and that was not the cut of meat served. I don’t think the meat was prime. Ate here in January and it was a much better meal. Disappointed.

    The food is excellent, steaks were cooked to our requested temperature. It was nice to have the big salad bowl to share. The vegetables were prepared nicely, cooked, yet still a little crunchy.
