Stella represents an expression of artistry across the mediums of cuisine, art, and design. Italian for ‘star’, Stella is inspired by the traditions of the traveling hearth of the coastal and pastoral communities of Southern, Central, and Northern Italy, enriched with local, seasonal California ingredients.

A creative collaboration between restaurateur, Janet Zuccarini, and Executive Chef Rob Gentile, Stella brings modern twists on age-old Italian culinary traditions to West Hollywood.

Inspired by 1950s Italy and created by award-winning designer Wendy Haworth, the restaurant features bold architectural details, rich woods, and vintage-inspired furniture. The multi-level restaurant is complete with private dining rooms and an intimate terrace.

With an emphasis on unique dining experiences at every turn, Stella offers a refreshing take on time-honored Italian recipes, where the quality of ingredients takes center stage.

From the OpenTable editors: Restaurateur Janet Zuccarini and formerly Toronto-based chef Rob Gentile joined forces to create Stella, a gorgeous restaurant that takes its design cues from mid-century Italy. The menu is all about Italian opulence, from beautifully presented crudos to silky handmade pastas to fresh truffle-topped Roman pizzas to meats from the wood-fired grill. The pizza and the burrata were very good. Unfortunately, the sea bream was mediocre at best and overpriced for the quality of the fish.

Our server didn’t provide any details on the menu but rather just kept asking if we were ready to order. The restaurant itself is beautifully done but the layout is so odd to me with our booth situated with our backs to the rest of the space and crammed next to another.

Food was great, Service very poor. The guy next to us fell frim the broken chair , they notified their waiter and he said Oh Ok, like ok? He could have broken his spine. We were shocked. Then our waiter kept rushing us, my friend was biting her food and the waiter do you need to go boxes like we are hete 30 min and still enjoying. Maybe i will try one more time to see if the staff has changed their attitudes. Make sure to check the chairs before sitting.
