Stella represents an expression of artistry across the mediums of cuisine, art, and design. Italian for ‘star’, Stella is inspired by the traditions of the traveling hearth of the coastal and pastoral communities of Southern, Central, and Northern Italy, enriched with local, seasonal California ingredients.

A creative collaboration between restaurateur, Janet Zuccarini, and Executive Chef Rob Gentile, Stella brings modern twists on age-old Italian culinary traditions to West Hollywood.

Inspired by 1950s Italy and created by award-winning designer Wendy Haworth, the restaurant features bold architectural details, rich woods, and vintage-inspired furniture. The multi-level restaurant is complete with private dining rooms and an intimate terrace.

With an emphasis on unique dining experiences at every turn, Stella offers a refreshing take on time-honored Italian recipes, where the quality of ingredients takes center stage.

From the OpenTable editors: Restaurateur Janet Zuccarini and formerly Toronto-based chef Rob Gentile joined forces to create Stella, a gorgeous restaurant that takes its design cues from mid-century Italy. The menu is all about Italian opulence, from beautifully presented crudos to silky handmade pastas to fresh truffle-topped Roman pizzas to meats from the wood-fired grill. Expect luxurious touches like sea urchin butter and smoked trout caviar.

The moment Joshua came to our table, we felt like we were at home. He was so hospitable and we took ALL of his suggestions and everything was superb! We look forward to returning, again.

I was quite disappointed with my recent visit to Stella West Hollywood. Here’s why: 1.Service: The staff seemed inattentive and unorganized. We had to wait over 20 minutes just to place an order, and even longer for refills and the check. There was no sense of urgency, even though the restaurant wasn’t overly busy. 2.Price for Quality: The menu prices were far too high for the quality of food served. My dish lacked flavor, and the portions were smaller than expected. It felt like I was paying more for the name than the meal. 3.Ambiance: The atmosphere was underwhelming. The lighting was harsh, the music didn’t match the setting, and the overall decor felt uninspired. Definitely not what I expected for the price point. 4.Parking: Evening parking was a nightmare. The restaurant is located in a busy area with limited spaces, and the lack of valet service past 10pm unless we would pay an additional $55 fee added to the frustration. It left a bad impression before we even walked in. Overall, the experience did not meet expectations, and I wouldn’t recommend this spot unless there are significant improvements in service, food quality, and parking arrangements.

My husband and I very much enjoyed the 8-course Chef's Tasting Menu. The food was delicious with generous portions. The service was wonderful and everyone was so friendly and attentive. Genuinely my favorite dining experience that I've had in LA.

As someone who appreciates fine dining, this place is absolutely not worth the price. Food is just fine. Ambiance is nice. Service was good. But good god—the food was very disappointing for what they charge.

The taste and presentation of dishes were absolutely amazing. The Sommelier was excellent. The decor was OK, but the prices were outrageous! Even the valet - $27!!!

The restaurant is pretty and the staff were very friendly and helpful. It is not easily accessible for a person with mobility problems. The drinks were very expensive for a small pour. The food was only good; pizza okay, pasta better and chocolate dessert bad but pretty.

Super expensive plus they add a 3% fee to the total. Not as good as the beginning food and service. The menu is not interesting and expensive.
