   Third time eating at Stillwells and it’s still my favorite restaurant in Dallas. Food is absolutely amazing, service was superb and the vibe of the whole place is great. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a great meal.

   The warm welcome and the service throughout the evening was excellent! Our server Andres with Oscar supporting us was excellent. He was very knowledgeable of the menu and made welcome off menu recommendations, specifically with the treatment of the foie gras, simply outstanding! We shared the foie gras and the roasted beet salad. My husband enjoyed the King Ora Salmon and I had the 12 oz HWD filet (plenty for leftovers!), the black truffle butter is a must! We also shared the brussel sprouts with the pickled Fresno chilis… really good! And let me say, the delicious meal started with warm pull apart bread… old style!! I will say the chocolate layer cake(which was not one of the recommended desserts) was a disappointment… needless to say, we had a lovely evening!

   The food was exceptional however the service was lacking. Had to wait 30 minutes for hour table as well as an hour for some of our drinks.

   Server was wonderful and the ambiance was very nice, restaurant was decorated very nice for Christmas. Food was just ok, we started with the dumplings, they were a bit dry but the dumpling was good. I was not impressed with the beef Wellington, the duxelles had a lot of garlic and the steak was more medium than mr. The del Monica ribeye was very good. Was not a huge fan of the desserts. We had the carrot cake and peanut butter bar, both were just ok. We have been to many fine dining restaurants, just wasn’t impressed for the amount we spent.

   They should change the name to Dante’s Inferno. Had the heat on 77 with the fireplace blasting (it was only 59 degrees outside not 30). Could hardly breathe in there. While most of the staff was extremely professional one was rude enough to overshadow everyone else. Was an incredibly odd experience for a restaurant of that caliber. With as many incredible places in Dallas to choose from to eat I won’t be returning to Stillwell’s.
