   Celebrated our anniversary here. They made it e tremely special. It was a slow paced meal, which we very much appreciated. I had the stone fruit salad, which was delicious, followed by the diver scallops. Again delicious. My husband had the heirloom tomato salad, which he very much enjoyed and also the diver scallops. The whole experience was wonderful. It was a Monday night and the restaurant wasn’t more than half full. Very quiet. Sarah, our waitress , was the most enjoyable person. We had a fabulous night.

   We have been there at least 8 times, however this time the service was slow, we asked for a window seat on our reservation and the sat us at an inside table. The service was slow it took us 40 minutes to get bread, the tomatoes in my salad were terrible and the food was over salted. When you pay this much money u expect better service and food and this time they did not hit the mark.

   Absolutely delicious meal from start to finish. Our server’s name was River, and he was attentive, polite, and always aware. Phenomenal steaks, salads, and the Lobster Mac & Cheese may have been the best I’ve ever had. Great place!

   For the price and the description/dress code, etc it wasn’t worth it at all. It’s a lovely setting with a great staff but the food was average at best. And for the price I wouldn’t even say it was average. Also saw that we were to dress nicely but people were there in shorts, sneakers and tshirts. I don’t mind getting dressed and if it’s a stated requirement it should be enforced. But most importantly for the price the food should’ve been much better.

   Stirrups is, without question, the best fine dining experience in Ocala. The menu is very creative and while steaks are king, seafood and pasta dishes are equally outstanding. Service is consistently on point from the hostess to the wait staff and the manager. Our server, Brandon, was exceptional. He paced our meal perfectly and anticipated our party’s every need. We were celebrating an engagement in the family, and the staff went above and beyond with some extras to make the day super special for our party. Highly recommend!

   You need a bar in stirrups. We were early for our res and there was no easy way to grab a drink and wait. The yellow pony was swamped so we had no way to grab a drink while waiting.

   We had a truly wonderful dinner at Stirrups for my Birthday. The ambiance feels elegant without being “stuffy”. And the Staff were sincerely friendly.

   Absolutely incredible service from our waiter, Daniel! We were there for my birthday and were provided both a glass of champagne and a delicious dessert to go along with all the warm wishes and attentive service. The NY Strip was cooked to perfection and their smoked old fashion is unmatched! Thank you for making this milestone special yet again!

    Editing this post. Food is amazing. In my original post I had left a critique of the flow of the dinner. They were just busy, but it wasn’t their best work. Despite it not being a major issue the manager reached out to us directly to make it right. You learn about the true quality of a business not when they are doing everything right but how they respond when they don’t. It is clear to me that Stirrups, based on my interaction with their manager Gia, holds itself to the highest of standards and I look forward to spending special occasions there for years to come.
