   Our server was wonderful. The tortellini were over cooked and lukewarm. The apple butter pork chop was good but way too much garlic added.

   OVERALL: (3). We had not been to our local Stonewood for some time due to poor experiences and decided to give it another try, but unfortunately we will not be going back again anytime soon. FOOD: (3). My Side Caesar Salad, Prime Rib, and Baked Potato: (4). Caesar dressing Very Good. Prime Rib medium rare as requested but light on taste. Potato Very Good but very small. Wife’s Tuna with Kale & Potatoes: (3). Tuna overdone and dry; it needed herb butter. Kale & Potatoes Very Good but the request for double kale was omitted. Overall: (3). SERVICE: (4). Kristine was a Very Good server. A delay in serving entrees was blamed on a large party seated before us. AMBIANCE: (3). We appreciated that our request for booth seating was honored, but the ambiance is more “diner” than “restaurant”; brightly lit and noisy. VALUE: (3). Market Pricing.

   It took over 10 min before anyone came to our table. My Tuscan chicken was room temperature when it was brought to me. The manager took it away and brought another one, chicken was warm, the mashed potatoes was still cold. Then on our check, luckily I check before we pay when we dine out, we were charged twice for the Tuscan chicken, and the bruschetta that’s supposed to be free. It was corrected, but it’s annoying.

   The short rib was tough and gristley. The Salisbury steak or whatever they called it had an excellent sauce, but was tough and pretty close to hamburger. Service was slow, apparently a computer issue. They sat us in a booth close to the door, which opened frequently, and constantly brought in cold air. Just a bad experience

   The crab crusted salmon with creole bechamel sauce was delicious! I hope it makes it to the main menu. Great night out as usual. Thank you to all the back and front workers for a lovely evening.

   The restaurant was very busy when we arrived punctually. We did have to wait for our table for about 15-20 minutes. It is holiday time so this could have been the reason for the wait. The server was excellent. She answered all of our questions and was quick to assist with all of our needs. The food is always delicious and fresh. I love short ribs but the special fell a little short (excuse the pun) of my expectations. Everyone enjoyed their meals. It was a birthday celebration and Stonewoods provided a dessert free of charge! We will be back.
