The ambience suited the setting. The staff were friendly. The afternoon tea selection was tasty and I enjoyed the different way the sandwiches were presented. I also loved the complimentary proseco and brownie desert to celebrate my birthday

We were expecting a Themed Afternoon tea, which it wasn't. The waitress was very friendly and helpful, but because there was only 4 tables in use it was hard to find her. I asked her about the Complementary Champagne she said it finished at the end of March, then I showed her the advert which said till the end of April,we eventually got the 2 glasses of Champagne.....which probably means the rest of the guests which booked Afternoon Tea didn't get it. Was shocked to see there was only 6 teas to choose from.....weve been too almost all Afternoon Teas in London and have always had a bigger selection at least 10 or more. We then received our Afternoon Tea food,we laughed and said we obviously get free top ups and she said no,I said you are joking she you have to pay for extra,I have never had to pay for extra.... this isn't worth the money and no themed cakes. We received 3 sandwiches each and a shot glass size prawn cocktail.,there were 2 scones each and a small plate of 4 small cakes with no theme to the toyshop. This was the most disappointing Afternoon Tea weve ever been too...

We arrived at 3.45pm and were not delivered food until 4.30pm . We just sat there waiting . When the food arrived we were not disappointed. I would have liked a few more sandwiches but was told we would have to pay extra . The scones were fantastic

This was so disappointing. We went for the Afternoon Tea for an Xmas treat with the children. The sandwiches were tasteless and slightly stale. The cakes were pretty to look at but again didn’t wow. The only difference between the £40 for an adult and £20 for a child was an extra scone and a prawn cocktail which was 4 limp mini prawns on a shot glass and a cos lettuce leaf. Poor value and poor food.

This place is not worth a visit. The staff are unhelpful and we left before we received our order as the staff were so unhelpful and claimed my booking had been cancelled when it hadn't. I would not visit this at all.

The menu and the setting are good but the service was chaotic. Took a long time to get the tea and then a long time to get the food. It was puzzling as this is all that was being offered… The staff were kind but everything was disorganised. The food was ok, the custard mini tarts were excellent. The bill arrived with service charge already included and we were not asked it it was ok. We did ask to lower it due to the chaotic service, in the end after another wait they removed the service charge completely.

Went to the afternoon tea. No one came to table over ten minutes for order. We received our drink and shortly after, the food, but never received the tea!! There were no wait staff to ask despite only three tables being occupied. Plates were not refreshed. Never asked if all was okay or if we wanted anything else or more water. Finally found someone to get the bill. First tea in London and it was a terrible experience due to service. Everywhere else in London, the people were warm and friendly and very helpful. Here, it was as if the waitstaff were changing over and no one bothered to check on customers. Very disappointing, considering the price!
