Our experience at studio one was very enjoyable. We went on a Sunday for brunch and live music, it was comfortable, the ambiance was relaxing and cozy. The food, service and live music were great! We can’t wait to get back and check out a movie experience there.

We love Studio One! The steak & the halibut specials were fantastic! We show up 25-30 mins before the movie, get seated quickly & have plenty of time to order. The wine by the glass or bottle list is really next tier compared to anywhere in Portland metro. Great date night!

It took three requests at the bar for someone to give me a menu to order food and drinks. Consider I was one of two couples sitting in the live performance area, there was no excuse for poor service. First and probably last time I’ll go there.

It’s very over priced. We got the sliders and they got our order wrong so we had to wait to get the right order. When we got them the bottoms of them were so greasy it made the bread soggy. Service was very slow. Our table was still not cleaned off after we left after the movie was done. Movie theatre was great though. Cute atmosphere. They just need to work on their front end.

Love Billie Eidson and her trio. Sublime music, fun tunes, supportive staff and owner, tasty food and cocktails. Highly recommend seeing jazz here in the future. Relaxed environment with Comfy couches, cool looking stage, and movie goers intermixing seamlessly with the music. We’re lucky to have Studio One here in Portland.

I had reservations to go to a CD release party for Billie Eidson on March 23 at 7 PM. It was a great location for this event. Everyone that attended was so happy to be there and enjoyed the performance so much. I ordered the fish dinner and it was delicious. Look for more venues to be held there by Billie & other entertainers. You will not be disappointed!🔥🔥🔥

I've been going to Studio One for a few years. It's really three experiences in one (theaters, bar, and performance area), but I'm going to focus on the performance area. On my most recent visit, celebrating the CD release of Billie Eidson, a regional performer who has a terrific act backed by some of the best musicians in PNW, the performance area was packed. Tables with their signature low-slung chairs were filled with people drinking, dining, and watching the show. My server met me quickly, made good suggestions, and took my order with professionalism. My food came quickly and was well-made (the beet salad), and the wine was delicious. My table mate ordered a sampler platter, and offered some to me. The coconut fried shrimp were wonderful. Past experiences at Studio One have service levels to match the number of people in the performance area. Since I've grown accustomed to this, I've really enjoyed and appreciated the "culture" of that space, if you will. It's not actually positioned as a restaurant, per se. It's really a convenient living-room-away-from-home where you can be in charge of exactly the experience you want. Want wine? You can order at the bar, or order from a server if one has been assigned. Same with food. Same with their wonderful popcorn. Your living room doesn't have a dedicated server ... and so Studio One actually beats that by giving you a second living room with a server when a lot of people show up. Two final comments. I cannot overemphasize just how professional my most recent server was. He was wonderful and I felt very well taken care of. Second and last point: There is no place in town quite like Studio One -- great movies, great bar, and some of Portland's best live music. You wish your living room at home was as groovy and tasty!

I was in to see Billie and her Jazz show on the 17th, the show was great, the service was not what I expected. I know Studio One is not a fine dining venue, but even for the causal place it is, I expected better customer service. The server took our order, and, finally, the wine arrived 20 minutes later. The food arrived nearly a half hour after that, a total of 50 minutes after placing the order. And the food was delivered by a food runner or expo (whichever term you prefer) and the order came out in "pieces", a food item here, and a food item there, not a Dinner Meal delivery. My wife and I were seated together, and the food delivery person brought only One Silverware set up?? Hello, there are two people here. And...the food was cold. I guess it is just a movie house "concession stand", ONLY, clearly Not a restaurant and not even a casual dining place. Billie's show was good, except for the "Fire Place Movie" going on behind the band. Quite the distraction. I looked at the ceiling projectors in the music area, and I looked at the bar and the bartenders, clearly ALL high tech stuff, everywhere. Even tech machine delivered beverages and wine!?? How about less high tech and more attention to the guest and good old fashioned quality and customer service. Other than to support a musician, I see no good reason for my wife and I, or ANY of our friends and business acquaintances, to support Studio One. Thank you for listening.
