I heard that in Canadian restaurants, staff are instructed to prioritize customers who are on the phone over customers who are in the restaurant. I understand that they don’t want to lose customers who are on the phone, but I don't think it's good to make customers stand there for a long time while they're on the phone until they finish the call. All they have to do is ask another staff member to show their table. I made a reservation and arrived at the appointed time, but we were made to stand at the entrance for a long time. Should we wait to get our table until staff finish her call? I hope they would talk about this, if you were customer what would you think about.

Lovely experience, all the staff were incredibly friendly. The food was also delicious, I would love to come by again if I ever get the chance. :)

Suika never disappoints, the food is delicious especially the tenderloin rare steak bowl, chicken karaage and the yuzu tuna tataki. The service is friendly and efficient. Beware that the noise level is very high and when they sing "Happy Birthday" it's off the Richter scale loud. This is not the place for a romantic dinner but it's definitely a fun lively place to celebrate or hang out with friends.

It has been the best japanese resto in Vancouver area to me for dinner date, birthday, and more! All servers are nice and polite and food is always AMAZING and FRESH. I personally don't like to eat sushi during summer, but when I'm craving for it, Suika is the place to go.

Good assistance to gluten free options form the menu (you need to ask the server as they do not marked it in the menu), they accommodate with gluten free soy sauce for certain dishes so be mindful of which dish you are going to order as they strip all gluten elements and serve with separate GF soy sauce on the side.

Suika is my new go-to for quality cooked Japanese dishes. The staff are always kind and helpful, and the food is always delightful and unique! Standout dishes are the uni and crab carbonara udon, and the big sashimi platters where they even fry shrimp shells after eating the shrimp sashimi.

One of my favourite spots to bring friends visiting from out of town! The vibe is always so fun, the service is so friendly and the food is delicious! It’s very good for sharing or ordering your own items. Love dining at Suika and can’t wait to come back!
