   We love Sullivan’s! A very special place for us. For the past 10 years we have dined at Sullivans on the first day of the new year… just a great place to kick it off. Laurel was our server in the dining room. She was fun, engaged and attentive despite working NYE. Will ask for her next year. The food was fantastic as usual…. Never fails !

   It was great for something relaxing for NYE. Service was slow, but we understand they were busy. Overall great!

   My husband and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary on NYE and planned to just do drinks, apps, and desserts. Being a busy night, I understand why they were out of things. But We were so disappointed that the beef Wellington bites were out as well as the crème brûlée- the two things we were most looking forward to. We opted for calamari and cheesesteak rolls instead. Calamari was paper thin and charred with more breading than anything else. The cheesesteak rolls were flavorful but hardly even lukewarm. Since they were out of our first and second choice on dessert (crème brûlée and pb pie), we received a complimentary cheesecake. The bottom was gray, soggy, and inedible. Had it not been complimentary, I would have complained. My husband’s drinks were great, but my white chocolate almond martini was odd and had a terrible aftertaste. When we arrived to the table, my water glass had dirty food caked onto it. We had gift cards and a great server, so we left feeling underwhelmed but didn’t feel the need to interrupt the staff on a busy night to complain about every little detail. Even though the entrees looked and sounded great, we probably won’t return.

   While the food was good, a dinner for two took 3 hours, our waiter, when he came to the table was very nice, but it was very slow. We sat at the table for about 20-25 minutes with no water. The soup we ordered came out relatively quickly, but the main course took a long time. When our steaks came out my husbands was cold, and for some reason the butterflied mine so they both had to go back to be redone. For 2 soups, 2 steaks one side dish and 1 drink each our meal was $226. That is outrageous!

   We had a great NYE dinner at Sullivan’s! It was the first time a couple of us had been there and we were so glad that we chose Sullivan’s for our special holiday dinner. Our server, Stephanie, was terrific. She did an excellent job of taking care of us. She was friendly, helpful and efficient. We’d love to have her as our server again in the future. Thanks, Sullivan’s, for a lovely holiday celebration!

   Now we have kept in mind that it was New Year’s Eve so understandingly very busy. However, for a premium steakhouse service it all started at the hostess stand which was less than a good experience. In fact, they were rude to multiple guests including myself until I pointed out how rude they were treating people coming up and checking on their table since they seemed to be running 25-35 minutes past the reserved time. After being seated 35 minutes past our reserve table time we were greeted by a very nice waiter that was doing his best under the circumstances clearly there were more tables than they could properly serve but he did a decent job of doing so when we finally ordered dinner about three minutes after he came back to the table and stated that they were out of everything that three of the five of us wanted.  OK, we get it it can happen it’s a busy evening however hearing him and two other waiters talking they noted the kitchen never instructed them that they were out of these items so major fail on that end because we weren’t the only table ordering. After the food arrived everyone’s meals were were good. However my $70 steak arrived completely overdone and was sent back to the kitchen. Now that happens from time to time as well but not in a steakhouse of this caliber when my steak finally arrived to the table my entire party was done with their dinner so I got to take my $70 steak home in a box. The waiter apologized several times, yet no one from the management staff ever came by the table to apologize or to see if there was anything that they could do considering I was taking home a $70 steak home in a to go box. Our server was the only positive presence in this scenario. And while we’ve dined here in the past I am going to have to think about whether or not I’m going to spend several hundred dollars on a meal at this steakhouse or one of the other dozen or so fantastic steakhouses around the city.

   We had a great dinner on NYE! Our server, Justin, was fantastic! Very attentive without being obtrusive. Great recommendations. Highly recommend Sullivan’s and ask for Justin!!

    Service was outstanding. The food was very good. My husband had the Cajun ribeye, which was grilled to perfection. I had the sea bass, which was very good. I had the sweet potato casserole, which was fine, I will order something different if we return. I would recommend to someone if they are looking for a good steak.
