Since its opening in 1974, prime steaks and martinis have never gone out of style at this Palo Alto institution. The atmosphere is very clubby with fireplaces, dark wood, sports memorabilia and plush leather booths tucked into the many nooks throughout the dining room. Famous for their slow-roasted prime rib & hand-cut U.S.D.A Prime Steaks, they also offer fresh seafood, cold water lobster tail & succulent shellfish. The 20 oz. Bone-In Rib eye Steak is the Boss’ Favorite while the Double Cut Filet Mignon runs a close second. Sundance is respected for serving the best food money can buy coupled with value & simplicity – a welcome relief for serious food & steak aficionados. The food was good but the service was terrible. The waiter embarrassed me in front of my guests. His job is to serve and not make comments such as asking me to give part of my oysters to my guests who do not want them.

Very good place . Food is good and the price is decent and not too expensive . Table is a little bit small and place may be a little bit noisy given are fully booked restaurants

I am totally biased as I may have been to Sundance over 500 times over the last 20 years, but this is the most consistent restaurant at which I have ever dined. The staff is incredible, the food is very good and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The level of care they have for their customers is really unparalleled! I am a big fan and hope all will enjoy Sundance too.

Fabulous food, wonderful service and great ambiance. Delivered on all accounts and the patronage was very collegial as we all watched the Tyson fight on our cellphones. Exceptional experience.

My husband and I had a really nice lunch here. The quality of food was great, the ingredients were fresh, and the service was on point. Thomas was really polite and helpful to our needs even before we asked. I would definitely recommend the clam chowder soup, the prime rib, and the jack burger.
