   Everything was great, we love it here. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Sat by the open fire for drinks before and after our meal. Super table and we weren’t rushed to leave after we had finished. Great food, a really lovely, relaxing place to go with great views.

   The lunch special was lovely, the bruschetta especially so. I would have liked the tiramisu to have been a little more moist but overall it was value for money. The dining room is beautiful and the staff friendly and efficient. I would certainly visit again.

   Food was beautiful, service was excellent and really good value for money. The staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Would stay again

   We both had the daily special, fish pie. It was delicious, one of the best we’ve ever had. Dessert, panne cotta and treacle sponge was also extremely good. Service was good, can’t fault this place.

   The online booking process was very quick and easy. Receiving a confirmation of the booking and then a reminder the day before was useful. We were politely welcomed and seated in the lounge bar as we were a little early. The menu offered a good choice and we were shown to our table in the restaurant, we did have the choice of eating in the lounge bar or restaurant. The food was great, a delicious home made steak and ale pie with a selection of vegetables. It was a pleasant surprise to find that the vegetables had been cooked, they weren't very hard as so many appear to be these days. The dessert list was so tempting that we tried the chocolate and orange tiramisu, it was super.

    Very good attentive service throughout. We had coffee by the roaring open fire in very comfortable seating area. The bright and vibrant dining room was lovely and our meal was delicious. Three courses for lunch, as well as sandwich options too. I've frequently been for lunch and will always come back as it is good service, delicious food and in beautiful surroundings.
