Attended opening and I do not think they were prepared even though it was an attempt to get it started. They took 1/2 of another restaurant and redid it into a Steak House with curtains and rebranded. They have a beautiful steak house called the Cove, but it remains closed. This place will appease the high rollers looking for a better dinner and I wish them success, but you only get 1 chance at making it work.
Service was pretty good, but the server got overwhelmed with covering multiple tables. But I give her 5 stars for trying.
Food appetizers were good, and steaks were pricey but tasty. Definitely not on the level of a top-notch steak house. Sides were large and shareable.
2 desserts offered and we agreed they tasted old and freezer Like. Cheesecake was awful
Interesting we asked for bread and was told twice they were working on it for the future. Well, a good steak house has it from the beginning. We were here not.
What stuck in my mind was the food came from the same kitchen as the Philly Tap. So although they gave a gallant try they are not steak house cooks.
I may try again in a few weeks but if you're going to do it right then make the impression. ALso need to be open more than 2 nights at least 3 to attract.
