We really enjoyed our evening at Talea. It was a nice meal following an event at Washington National Cathedral. The food and service were excellent. I had the seafood pasta and my husband had the truffle pasta. Wine choice was also good.

Took them three times to get a Ceaser's salad right. Should not have been so hard. Drink prices are outrageous. But the food was not bad and even though it was crowded, we could hear ourselves talking to each other. But we won't be back in a long time, if ever.

Second time here. Much better than another Italian restaurant at the nearby Westchester condo. Tasty antiposti, pasta dishes were very good. Service was quick, but a little ragged; staff may be learning and they will be fine. Sound level was surprisingly good, even when the place was full when we left. They should not pack more tables in the dining room as they become better known and popular. That will drive people away.

We came relatively early (6:30) and the place was reasonably quiet, but by the time we left the noise level made it very difficult to talk/understand each other. The food was good, but not outstanding. Service friendly. It took over 20 minutes for our food to be delivered. Don't know why.
