the wait person was professional, attentive and pleasant. The food presentation was nice; however, my order of tacos were overwhelmed with pickled onions which took away from the overal flavor. I removed 80% of the onions just because there were too many. I spent all evening tasting those onions over and over. The ceviche was overpowerly spicy and not enough fish variety. Not at all what was expected based on past experiences. We always have had a nice, tasteful meal for many years here, but will think about coming back. Very disappointing.

Limited menu at a higher price and small portion. Quality was ok for most in the party, but nothing fantastic. Overall atmosphere is very stiff and not inviting or warm.

All staff friendly and professional. Super efficient too. Didn’t wait at all to sit, order and served. Love the ambiance and the food is so beautifully presented and taste just as good as it looks. Reasonably priced for such a creative high end food. My favorite Mexican restaurant in all of Denver.

I had never been to Tamayo before and found it to be disappointing. The food was ok. The portions tiny. We ordered chips and salsa, since it isn't complimentary, and after we finished our tacos, someone came and grabbed it while we were finishing our drinks and waiting to order dessert. He didn't even ask until after he scooped it up, and stacked it in his arms, if he could take it. We had still been eating them! This leads to the next thing... feeling rushed. Our waiter hounded us from beginning to finish; I was tempted to take out a restraining order on him. Then, as stated, our food we were still eating was scooped up. We ordered churros for dessert, which I normally love, but was not impressed. They just tasted "off." I ordered my usual, Coin Margarita, which is only 3 ingredients: tequila, orange liqueur, and lime juice, and it was not good. It tasted like the orange liqueur was completely omitted. Like I said at the beginning, it was just a disappointment. If one thing had been off then I would have brushed it off, but based on our experience we will never go there again. There are just too many options out there to be disappointed on your night out.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback about your recent visit to Tamayo. We are truly sorry to hear that your experience didn’t meet your expectations and that our service fell short of the standards we strive to provide. We appreciate your comments regarding the portions, food quality, and beverage. It’s disappointing to learn that the Coin Margarita and churros didn’t come through as they should have, as these are dishes we pride ourselves on. We’d like to apologize for the feeling of being rushed during your meal and the incident with the chips and salsa. Respectful and attentive service should elevate your dining experience. Thank you again for your feedback—it is essential in helping us improve. We hope you’ll consider giving us another chance in the future.
