TAO Chicago offers guests a sensual trip through the cuisines of Asia. The design-driven restaurant and adjoining nightclub is inspired by the original TAO locations in New York City, Las Vegas and Los Angeles.

TAO Chicago features multiple levels, creating dynamic spaces within the historic building’s shell, while adding TAO’s Asian-influenced DNA to the restaurant, lounge and nightclub including murals by artist Hush and TAO’s signature 16-foot-tall Quan Yin statue anchoring one end of the dining room.

TAO Chicago’s restaurant menu, created by TAO Group Partner and Chef Ralph Scamardella , is complete with Pan-Asian offerings from the sea, sky and land including signature dishes like Satay of Chilean Sea Bass, Crispy Rice Tuna and a Wagyu Rib-Eye.

    Our Swedish Midsummer Party is set to be an unforgettable evening filled with delectable food, drinks, and over the top entertainment. The pricing for the event is $175 per person (plus admin fee, taxes, and gratuity added to the final bill), which will be treated as credit towards your bill for food and drink throughout the night. Please note that all-white attire is required for entry to the event. The party will continue upstairs in our nightclub following dinner with complimentary entry!     My experience was absolutely amazing!! This was my first time at Tao and babyyy they took great care of me! I dined solo and was put in the perfect spot. Andrew was my waiter and he was so nice and recommended the best food for me I was so impressed with his candor! Now to the food omg I had the chicken satay and the glazed sea bass and both were well seasoned and scrumptious. I rate everything a 20 out 10! And the Tao-Tini drink is a must have.

    I enjoyed the spicy shrimp, chicken gyoza, and sweet and sour soup. I do wish there had been more duck pieces in the barbecue duck fried rice. The lychee martini wasn’t my favorite was initially too strong and didn’t taste much better after more mixer was added. Overall, the atmosphere was great. Next time, I’d probably stick with a protein dish or sushi instead of the rice.

    Tao Chicago never disappoints! This was my second time visiting and once again, everything was top-tier. Our server was the bomb…super knowledgeable about the specials and made great suggestions that took our experience to the next level. The ambiance, the service, the vibes…10/10. Now let’s talk about the food… I don’t know what kind of magic the chef put in those mushrooms and sea bass, but whew…every bite was pure deliciousness! Already looking forward to my next visit! Shoutout to the Dj on the 1s and 2s, too!!

    The service was terrible. The server spilled my glass of water all over us and the table. Our camera fell on the ground because of this and was drenched in water. We did not get a single apology for this. The server was changed claiming that “her shift was over”. The new server did not bring our mains for another 30 minutes because he didn’t know our order. Overall very slow and poor service.

    We celebrated my friends birthday and had a wonderful time. The food was AMAZING, decor was beautiful. The only complaint is the positioning of the tables were a bit close and difficult to maneuver. Other than that we had a great time and will definitely go again.

    Just WOW!! The atmosphere is breathtaking, food and cocktails are AMAZING, the service is incomparable, and the overall vibe feels exclusive and luxurious. From the minute you walk in, you get absorbed in the ambiance of Asia with contemporary and great background music playing. The filet mignon with shishito peppers is a MUST!! The steak and vegetables were all tender and flavorful. The chicken gyoza and lobster wontons were soooo good. If forced to choose between the two, go with the chicken gyoza (pan fried)---still thinking about those flavors. The cocktails were beautifully presented and tasted great. Thank me later for recommending you order the LOTUS COLADA...Coconut Cream, Pineapple, Lime, Orgeat, Coconut Water. Delicious!!! Zero proof but still AMAZING. The plating and presentation of all food was top tier. Oh and this is not typical restaurant food. It is clear they use high quality ingredients and take great care in executing and delivering high quality food and drinks. Ohh and don't forget dessert. The GIANT FORTUNE COOKIE is one of the best desserts ever. The cookie is light and crispy filled with yummy vanilla and chocolate mousse and the best assortment of sweet and delicate fruit. It is a very high energy restaurant with spectacular decor. The wait staff were professional and charming. The location is excellent at the corner of Dearborn & Ontario. Within walking distance from The Godfrey Hotel or The Felix. As Arnold Schwarzenegger says, "I'll be back!" My BFF from Atlanta joined me and she can't stop talking about it. Looks like we may be going back today. And i am OK with it. It's THAT GOOD!!

    A must visit if you’re in Chicago. Food was excellent, decor/vibe was super cool, and music was bumping. Service was a little slow because it was so busy, but everyone was very friendly. Ryan B was great!

    They placed a six person group at an equivalent of a four person round table. Getting into a battle right as dinner experience is beginning is a horrible way to start a birthday celebration. While the food was tasty, they ran out of a dish at 7pm and came back asking if we would like a comparable dish. We agreed but the comparable dish was 2.5 times the cost of the original. Shame on us for not asking. Lastly, when we asked to see a menu to pick a Japanese Whiskey, they didn’t have one. The recommended glass turned out to be $75 per glass. Again, shame on us for not asking. I feel this $1000 plus meal should have been 30-40% cheaper. Be on guard. Shady tactics.
