   I asked the bartender for a good drink which she reccomended the red dragon, and I chose the lychee martini. We got the drinks and it tasted like nothing, it was SO bland. I asked her if we could get something else since it tasted like water with a hint of lemonade.. and she said: “well since you already paid for it I’ll have to charge you for it”. And I looked at her and asked if it really is the case that you won’t get your costumer new drinks when it doesn’t taste good? And she just said “well I told you what it tasted like”.. Well, if you had told me at the start that it tasted like water I wouldn’t have ordered those drinks from you :) What kind of service is that? Glad I didn’t tip her to begin with. I told the rest our party (total of 7) to not even consider buying a drink from this place. The restaurant was too loud. Don’t get me wrong, I love the vibe - but if you have to yell to the person sitting beside you, then it’s too loud.. The food was OK. The sushi was fine, I’ve had better. But the mongolian beef and orange chicken was perfection! And the waiter we got was super nice and helpful. But we got a dish on our bill that none of us ordered or got on the table, but we didn’t see it until we got back to the hotel. All in all, it was an okay experience, if it hadn’t been for the beef and chicken I wouldn’t recommend going here.

   My favorite restaurant in city. Food is always amazing! Atmosphere is always festive. Great place for monumental celebrations!!

   Party of 8. Horrible food. ĹOUD music, that never varies. Little to no table service. Did I say Horrible overpriced food. Terribly uncomfortable old chairs. SLOW delivery of entries. And of, before I forget, the food was lousy.

   I’ve always been a loyal fan of TAO and its group of restaurants, having enjoyed exceptional experiences time and time again. Unfortunately, my recent visit to TAO Downtown was a complete letdown due to one particular manager Reina, who completely destroyed the vibe of what was supposed to be a joyful night out with friends celebrating multiple birthdays. From the moment this manager approached us, her attitude was shockingly rude and dismissive. What was even more disappointing was the clear display of discriminatory behavior, which left everyone in our group feeling unwelcome and disrespected. It was as if we were an inconvenience to her, and her unprofessionalism cast a shadow over the entire evening. From the fiasco of seating us, to explicitly telling us to leave by a certain time multiple times (we are regular of NYC dining and know the time duration of seated reservations), to telling the wait staff to convey that we had 5 minutes left when our main course was still on the table, then telling the wait staff that if ordering desserts those will not be served at the table but at the lounge and to vacate. Our wait times of being seated, waiting to order, for the check, to getting our cards back took more time than our actual dining This experience was deeply disheartening, especially since we had chosen TAO Downtown to create memorable moments with our friends, trusting the stellar reputation of the TAO Group. To have our night soured by a manager's behavior was a stark contrast to the exceptional service we've come to expect. While I’ve always held TAO in high regard, this particular incident has made me hesitant to return. TAO leadership should ensure that their staff, especially those in managerial positions, uphold the high standards that the TAO Group is known for, or should I say “was” known for. I truly hope this feedback is taken seriously, as no guest should ever leave feeling disrespected or unwelcome, especially during a special celebration

   Had the absolute best time. Went with a friend for drinks and appetizers an hour for closing. Service was still top notch and the energy was a younger but classy vibe. DJ really add to the space. DEFINITELY coming back.

    Food was absolutely delicious my friends and I had a difficult time deciding what was our favorite or how to rate our favorites they were all phenomenal! Appetizer, entree anddddd dessert I mean wow! Will be back
