The restaurant and event venue is located in the historic district of downtown Wilmington. The inspiration behind this restaurant was drawn from our grandfather, Anthony "Tony" Salvatore Tarantelli ("Papa") and our grandmother Mabel Tarantelli. Both Tony and Mabel believed that home cooked food brought family together. Our Papa's love for Italian food came from his father, Salvatore Tarantelli, who was born in the Abruzzo region of Italy in the province of L’Aquila. It is here that Tony began to appreciate Italian cuisine at its purest. Both Tony and Mabel were amazing cooks and deserve the credit for passing on many of our family recipes that we now have the pleasure and privilege to share with you.

The portions are ... gargantuan! The veal marsala was well prepared, and the bed of house-made tagliatelle in a mushroom sauce was excellent - but I only managed a small percentage of the dish! Bring an appetite! Wine selection and pricing were very good. Service was attentive, and knowledgable.

We love this place , the food is well prepared, they have a good wine menu . Our server was attentive. We did specifically ask to sit outside when we arrived because our older son was feeling rather claustrophobic and they refused the request twice despite our sincere pleading . Still would not sway me from returning but ...

Dinner was very good, very flavorful. Service was just ok, our server was friendly and made helpful suggestions. Didn’t appreciate that our finished appetizer wasn’t cleared, even though it seemed like many servers and busser(s) walking around. Would definitely return, maybe it was a busy night.

Wonderful experience. There was a party in the main dining room so we opted to sit in the bar area where it was quieter. The food was outstanding. Cy our server was excellent. We will be back.

We eat here fairly regularly and have never been disappointed. Amazing from the moment we walk in, we have never had anything we didn’t like off the menu: highly recommend!!!

I took a good friend to Tarantelli's last night for her birthday. We had the most amazing meal and the service was excellent. I specifically asked for one of the padded half round booths and even though there were only 2 people in my party, my request was granted! I also shared that it was my dear friend's birthday, and the waiter brought out a delicious cannoli with a candle that was lit. It was just so nice. Tarantelli's is one of my favorite restaurants in Wilmington, and I highly recommend it!!

We shared the table side pasta for two which was outstanding. We accompanied the dish with peas and mixed vegetables which rounded out the nice meal.
