   My daughter and I enjoyed a delicious meal at Tas Pide. We especially recommend their signature Pide dishes and Baklava for pudding. The staff are friendly and helpful and service was quick. The restaurant itself has amazing decor with plants everywhere. The location is perfect for visiting The Globe as it is just opposite the theatre. We've eaten here a few times now and always enjoy th experience.

   the staff were friendly and helpful and the food was delicious. while i was waiting for my main course i was given delicious bread and humous. i chose the chicken pide as my main and chocolate cake as my dessert. both were delicious. i was tempted by one of their mocktails, but ran out of time before a matinee at shakespeare’s globe. i’d recommend this restaurant, especially if you’re attending the globe as it’s only across the road.

   Excellent service. We arrived early and everyone was very accommodating. Lots of choice on menu and food tasty and really good value for money in a central London location.

   We ordered a set menu for 9 people - the food was below average unfortunately. The chicken kofte were overcooked and there was no sauce on the plate so very dry. The Lamb stew was kind of flavourless. The assortment of cold meze was not too bad although I think the hummus wasn't homemade, which is a shame for a Turkish restaurant (I could be wrong though, but not the best hummus for sure). The service was good however, absolutely no complaints there, lovely staff. I don't think I would go back, just because the food wasn't great.

Our Globe menu, which is designed for up to 6 people, but we were more than happy to accommodate your group of 9. And it seems there may have been a mix-up, as we don’t actually serve Chicken Kofte at Tas Pide. As for the lamb stew (Eksili Kofte), which you can find different from Grilled Kofte. We offered to have it grilled, but you kindly decided to try it as it was. We can assure you that our houmous is always prepared freshly.     I was really disappointed. A good Turkish mezze is a fine thing, and I cook a lot of Turkish food at home after much travelling - mostly Anatolian - in the area. This looked and tasted as it it had been hanging around a while - it was unimaginatively presented and unimpressive. Real shame, they have a fantastic position here and the idea of a mezze meal on the south bank with so many theatre goers is a great idea. But there was a lack of interest from the staff. Also, the low chairs, though attractive, make it harder for older diners (such as their main market, theatre-going audiences....) People will put up with a lot for good food though! Freshly made foods will always win out. The website Open table make it very difficult to post a poor review. The minute I entered a two star review they put me through several safety checks. I wonder if it would have been the same for a good review?

Presentation is kept simple, with a touch of garnish - parsley, sesame, or paprika - on certain dishes, as we aim to let the flavours shine. Regarding the seating, we’ve chosen our chairs to complement the cozy layout of our space. If the seating didn’t feel comfortable, we would have gladly accommodated you at a table with cushioned chairs had this been mentioned.
