Taste of Belgium is a modern Belgian brasserie that fuses Belgian and American cuisines with locally sourced ingredients for both brunch and dinner. Taste of Belgium offers a carefully curated beer list featuring an unequaled selection of Belgian brews and craft cocktails to enhance every meal. In 2023, Jean-François Flechet, our founder, was honored with a knighthood by the prestigious Knighthood of the Brewer's Paddle, recognizing his dedication to Belgian brewing traditions. Our journey began in 2007 at Cincinnati's historic Findlay Market, where Jean-François introduced a traditional Liège-style waffle recipe and a 120-pound cast-iron waffle maker from Belgium. Since then, Taste of Belgium has expanded to seven full-service neighborhood brasseries across Cincinnati and Dayton, Ohio. We stopped by for a quick lunch, and everything we ordered was delightful. The mussels were perfectly cooked—not overdone—and my Buddha salad was delicious. I was pleasantly surprised to find kimchi in the salad, which, along with the sweet potato and quinoa, added a fantastic texture. If you’re looking for a salad packed with flavor, this is an excellent choice. Though I’m typically a wine drinker and not much of a beer person, I really enjoyed the Delirium they offered. It was well-balanced and highly recommended. My husband ordered the breakfast plate, which was quite good—similar to what you might find at First Watch. I’ll definitely be back to try their waffles, which looked very interesting, and the chocolate martini, which the staff recommended. On top of the great food, the service was excellent, and everything came out quickly. Overall, I’d rate this place 8/10 as a brunch spot.

Yeah, I give it a big “meh.” Overpriced food. Wayyyy overpriced. Servers don’t know how to do their job. Maybe bring plates. Maybe bring napkins. Maybe know something about the menu and/or the bar. Maybe bus the table when there are dishes taking up the small table. The place was dead, too. Gnats flying around. Probably because won’t be back.

I would definitely recommend Taste Of Belgium at Austin Landing. The staff there was beyond helpful and polite. They interacted just the right amount with my group of old friends. The food was delicious all of us finished every bite on our plate! Which we normally never do. They have a beautiful outside area as well. Hope everyone enjoys this new gem at Austin Landing!

From start to finish a very nice experience. Hostess was welcoming and had our table ready (reserved ahead), our server took great care of us, the food was very good!
