   The food was ok. Never like it when the Caesar salad has multiple lettuce stems in it. The chicken giardiniere and chicken Milanese were both huge portions that could serve 2-3 people each. The chicken was too dry and the pasta had a funny taste. Probably should have just had sandwiches.

   We enjoyed our dinner at Tavern on the Glen. The food is solidly and consistently good. Lovely server. A great restaurant in the heart of The Glen. We will be back again!

   We started with the Cosmo Kramer! Was delish and colorful. The eggplant stack was good and a great deal for $10 at happy hour. For dinner we each had the prime New York strip. Delicious and cooked / seasoned perfectly. At $42, this was very close to a Perry’s, Morton’s or Gibson’s NY. A great value and nearly half the price of those other guys! They surprised us with a beautiful sparkler accompanied by a bday cheesecake. It was the perfect finish and sincerely appreciated . Live music came in as we were walking out. Definitely try this new restaurant out. Our waitress was super sweet and attentive. It was a wonderful experience!

   Not a big menu, was better when it was Paulie’s. Next time will go the the steak place next door.

   Finally managed to get here for a full on meal, and, while there are still a few bugs in the system, was generally very pleased. There have been a number of concepts in this space — as with many dining spaces in the Glen — through the years. I won’t get into the prediction business…and will offer that this family-owned one deserves a try. The bright lights modestly detract from an otherwise hip ambience. Terrific bar and the obligatory menu of craft cocktails. Nice list of wines by the glass — didn’t have a hard look at the list of bottles. The menu isn’t huge but is plenty diverse. While food service was a little slow (bread slow to come, entrees a little longer than we’d have expected ) our meals - the pork chop for one of us, the Thai salad for another, and the swordfish for me — were delicious and beautifully presented. Hoping that this place gains some well-deserved traction in this area where so many independent restaurants — and some chains — haven’t. Definitely worth a try.

   Ally the bartender was incredibly friendly and helpful. She knew I was on a first date and made it really comfortable. Food was terrific!

   Tavern on the Glen is a wonderful new restaurant in The Glen, a small shopping and entertainment area in Glenview that deserves more customers & attention. The food at TOTG was excellent; I was wish 3 other people and everyone loved what they ordered, including the Skirt Steak Sandwich, Mushroom Pappardelle, Chicken Milanesa, which I’m definitely going back for, and a large salad that had a lot of things in it and my friend who ordered it LOVED. Portions are a good size, and a couple of us took some of their meals home. Delicious inventive cocktails and TREMENDOUS service- really first rate! We will be back for sure. Great spot for dinner before or after a movie!

    The food was absolutely delicious, the service was nothing short of exceptional. The owners of tavern were very present and valued each and every customer. Came to celebrate my birthday and it was wonderful. Complimentary birthday desert! :) Will definitely be back
