Newly remodeled, the much airier Tavern is all about art, music, and above all great food. Open for lunch and soon to include evening dining, the Tavern adds a distinctly Mexican/Pacific Coast set of flavors to the local fine dining scene.

We are located in the heart of the Cedros Design District, within walking distance of the Amtrak station. The style is casual with indoor and outdoor dining ( plus bar seating). The patio, which can accommodate 18 guests, looks out onto the shop-lined Cedros Avenue and can be separated from the main dining area for private events.

*Please note* Our restaurant welcomes walk-ins during our Lunch hours from 11:30 am- 3:30 pm.
*Tavern restaurant will be closed for dinner (Lunch will remain open Monday and Tuesday when the belly up is dark)

Great experience sitting at the bar, with Joy as our server/bartender. A one woman show! She was busy, but still making sure to check in on us. She was fun and easy to talk to, and made an honest menu suggestion that was perfect! It's also a plus to be able to have a bite there and wait for the line to go down, then have direct access to the venue next door without leaving the restaurant. What a perk! Side note - ticket prices to see a show at the Belly Up are beyond reasonable!

As usual, the Tavern was great. The food was excellent, and Whitney provided friendly, efficient service. It's a great place to have a bite before a show.

Tavern is a very convenient location for dinner prior to attending a show in the area. The menu offers a good variety and selection. Preparation, presentation and taste of the food was excellent. Service was friendly and attentive. Definitely recommend trying Tavern for dinner.

It never fails to amaze me how consistently good this place is for being so incredibly busy. The food is nothing short of excellent. It is loud, no question but the wait staff is on top of things and the food is great every single time.

great food and selection. Could use some more/better 'smaller plates' and options (too much fried stuff on the app menu). Amazing lobster dumplings. street tacos would be a great addition to the dinner menu.
