   My husband and I enjoyed a Valentine’s dinner there with another couple. The service and food were excellent. Taverna Costale is one of our favorite restaurants downtown, highly recommend!

   This past weekend, I booked a reservation on OpenTable for five people at taverna Costale. When we arrived, on time for our reservation, the hostess, let us know very rudely that their Wi-Fi was down, and that she did not have our reservation. I explained to her that I had made the reservation through OpenTable, and even showed her our email confirmation. She said it doesn’t matter I don’t have your reservation. I said ok well, do you have a table for five? To which she responded no it will be about an hour wait. While I understand that things come up, and situations happen… the response from the hostess was terrible. Additionally, I spoke to the manager who was a little bit more apologetic, but wasn’t able to help us. Mind you there were multiple tables available. We decided that we would wait and have a drink at the bar, and we watched a table of 10 get up. I asked the manager if they could give us that table maybe break it down, and she said no I have a reservation coming in. Which is crazy since their reservation system is down? Anyways… The food was good. The management is is terrible. Beware if you want to come on a weekend they may or may not have your reservation….

   they knocked New Year's Eve out of the park. They had a packed house. The food was a little bit slow as should be expected, but the service was outstanding and so was the food.

   Great restaurant in downtown St. Pete. Location is perfect right in the middle of the city. I got the braised Pork Shank and it was incredible. Service was quick and efficient. Would be back for sure.

   Always a good meal here, but I wish they kept their website up to date. I had planned on the mediterranean salad and grilled shrimp cocktail ever since I made the reservation. When I arrived, the grilled shrimp dish had been removed- even though it is still listed on the website. Our waitress was excellent.

   Food was great, and the drinks were superb. The restaurant was packed so it was pretty loud. Service was good but our food took a long time to get to us - it ended up being worth it because it was DELICIOUS!

    Fabulous food! One of our favorite restaurants. But don’t know why all these restaurants feel the need to have the noise level ( music, bass) so loud.
