   The food was good, we both enjoyed the dishes we ordered. We both are non-drinkers and ordered diet Cokes. They came to our table completely flat and watered down. When we told our waitress, she responded that they looked off to her but that is how the soda gun always dispenses so she suggested lemonade or water. You are charging over $30 for entrees and the only non-alcoholic options are water or lemonade? The women’s restroom needs attention. One stall doesn’t lock because part of the locking mechanism was ripped from the wall and was sitting on the floor of the stall. The other stall was dirty and looked like it hadn’t been serviced in a while.

   DO NOT BE FOOLED by the proximity to ACL. It’s not convenient if the service is terrible and the food is mediocre at best. That was our experience on December 17, 2024. We arrived at 6:15 and got our food at 7:50. We were a table of 4. We ordered 3 Caesar salads and 2 pasta dishes to split between the 2 couples. These orders are staples of their menu—nothing special. We ordered 2 glasses of wine and 1 beer. The waiter brought our drinks took our order and we didn’t see him again until we started getting nervous about the start time of our concert. The beer drinker had to go inside to the bar three times to get a refill. We didn’t get water refilled until right before the food arrived. After voicing our concerns to the waiter, the manager came by. She was unapologetic and quite dismissive. The food was okay but tasted like it had been sitting out and put in the microwave right before they brought it to the table. My husband called the restaurant’s HQ the next day and still has not heard back from anyone. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE.

   We ordered the steak at an Italian food restaurant. MISTAKE It was ordered medium rare.....came out overly done. Was more like a small roast in taste and texture than a good steak. The chopped salad however was excellent. Service personnel were harried and stressed. They did remove the steak cost from our bill which was a very good gesture.

   1 table dominated the noise level inside the restaurant making it unpleasant for most of the other patrons & definitely for us inavle to enjoy the food

   It was a nice spot to grab some good Italian flare food. The noise level was just barely too much for a casual conversation. While the waiter was very nice, I think he was new because he didn’t understand not to rush all of the courses. The wine selection was good and the food very tasty and well prepared. I had the gnocchi and would’ve preferred a potato base versus flour but again, still very good. My date enjoyed Her red fish and lobster and we both commented on how good the lobster tasted. Many times you can’t taste the flavor of the seafood or lobster can be bland and this was very high-quality.

   I hadn't been to Taverna in several years and was happy to know they still do upscale Italian very well. I had a very good truffle and porcini risotto, which would've been perfect if the rice had been cooked just a bit longer. The wine selection is good, and the service was attentive and friendly. I didn't much care for the new decor, with cold, bright surfaces and harsh lighting. Still, it was a nice experience overall. Of course, it's very convenient to the ACL Live theaters and other downtown attractions.

    Wonderful atmosphere, service and food! Great location for dinner before ACL Live at the Moody theater, which is just across the street from the restaurant!
