   Wonderful experience at Tenters with a group of my daughter’s friends (7 of us in total) while visiting in Dublin before heading to trivia night at a pub down the street. The service was outstanding (Gary was perfectly attentive and a good sport) and everyone very much enjoyed their meals (including our vegan guests). We are a little earlier so the noise level was good to be able to converse with the entire table. Thanks for a great evening!

   Pleasant spot. We ordered the Sunday roast which was good but too much potato and very little other vegetables.

   We ate here three times! Only disappointment was there was no music. The original invite said there would be “authentic” Irish music! Other than that the food was fabulous and staff very good!

   Nice place for a drink. Maybe they should have left it as a pub. This was the worst food I’ve had in a long time. We split some gangs to start. It looked great but it was tasteless. They were in an insipid orange colour sauce that had zero flavour. There were two minuscule slices of what looked like a baguette on the side which were a waste of time. Next along came the feather blade steak with herby mash. I’ve had feather blade steak in other establishments and it was delicious. This was cooked in a slow cooker and it was about the size of a burger and sat on a bed of dry herby mash that they must have forgotten to add the herbs. Again there was a tasteless orange stain on the plate with a couple of wrinkled up cherry tomatoes. The entire plate was over cooked and awful. Thinking they couldn’t mess everything up we got a brownie with Teelings whiskey ice cream. They were very heavy handed with the whiskey and the brownie was heavy, stodgy and awful. Nearly €100 for us both to eat food that was cooked by someone who clearly doesn’t know how to cook. Never again.

   Great food, drinks and ambience. My husband loved the fish and chips. I really liked both the French onion soup and seafood chowder. Servers were pleasant and professional. Try the specials.
