Terrain used to be one of our favorite "celebration" restaurants. We ate there today, and were very disappointed. They have not increased their prices much in the last few years, but the quality of the food has really decreased - perhaps this is the balance the owners are going for. However, with so many great restaurants in the area, I don't know if this is the best bet. The bread is still great, and we liked some of the food, but we used to love it all. I'm pretty sure most of the items on the "dessert" sampler were made long ago and defrosted today. The hummus was almost runny, it was blended with so much water, the rolled lasagna was ok, but the raw scallion over powered the delicate flavors, the ice tea tasted like Lipton. The corn ribs were ok. The boneless short ribs with gnocchi was under seasoned - especially the gnocchi. The atmosphere is lovely (except the music on the patio - really doesn't fit the theme). The service is good, too - maybe a little inexperienced. Terrain needs to think about what it wants to be - a "theme" restaurant with mediocre food for weddings and instagram, or a destination.

This is a delightful space full of beautiful plants. Great cocktail list and a simple but good wine list. The menu focuses on seasonal veggies to accompany different meat and fish dishes. I had the halibut which was good with a nice sauce but a little overcooked. My wife had grilled salmon which I tasted and it was delicious. We shared a mussels appetizer - very tasty. Lovely baked bread.

Love this place so much! It has great views of all the plants and the food is delicious. My favorite brunch drink is the blueberry chai latte!

We ended up leaving a little bit after we sat down only because I wanted to have a certain meal and I didn’t want to do too many accommodations and substitutions for more price with my onion allergy. We will definitely be back though for sure!

Loved it!!! Everything was perfect! The food looked like works of art and tasted amazing! I got the shrimp and grits. Also, I have celiac disease and they were so good with working with allergies. I will definitely be back!

Server was Ok—not as attentive as she could’ve been and spilled a lot of fluids even on us and never came back w a napkin. Food quality fell short of what it boasts. Definitely way better in the past. Good ambience. Overpriced though!

The ambience at Terrain is lovely and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. We very much enjoyed the mushroom soup, the scallop entree, and the dessert sampler.
